NOVA Southeastern University BSN Fall 2008

Hello everyone! :D I am newly registered to this site but have been reading through the forums since about March. I just finished 2 years at FIU and applied to Nova's Fall 2008 BSN program. I went to the interview back in April and now I am super super nervous because letters starting going out June 1st. I just wanted to see if anyone else was in the horrible waiting game like I was. Also any information about Nova's program would be appeciated.

Hey! I'm new to these boards as well. I'm not waiting anymore thank goodness...I received my acceptance letter in march from UCF. I have a few friends that go to Nova for pharmacy, dental (orthodontics), and nursing and all of them have nothing but positive things to say about their respective programs. The nursing program there had a 100% pass rate on the nclex this past year, which is highest in the state (even over UF)! So, I would definitely go there--although I know Nova is a bit pricey and my friend said the BSN nursing program is three years. Anyhow, I will keep my fingers crossed that you will get an acceptance letter soon :)

Congrats!! I'll be seeing you there in the fall! Did you actually get a start date. My letter says orientation starts Aug 25, but at the interview James said the program would start the first Monday in September - which is Labor Day. Just wondering if you had a more concrete answer.

Hi everyone...new to this too. Just got accepted into Nova June 9th for fall BSN Program. I believe we get our class schedule during orientation. Soooo excited. I've heard great things about this program. Is anyone else applying for the Baptist scholarship?

Yes I just sent in my application on Wed. for the scholarship...it would be amazing if I get it since:

1. I'm not rich and wanting to spend 40K.

2. I live in Kendall so driving to Ft. Lauderdale is not that cool.

The good news is that when I went to the interview they told me that last year they didnt fill up all the scholarship spots.. so thats good news for me.

yay...congrats on your acceptance and good luck on the scholarship. i'm keeping my fingers crossed...definitely need the tuition covered. i live on the beach so i hear you on the drive.

Hello everyone. I got accepted into NOVA's nursing program fall 2008 congrats to all who got accepted because lots of my friends didn't get accepted it is really competitive to get in. I did all my pre-requisites in NOVA and I can tell you that even it is pricey University, you get what you paid for and more. I live next to NOVA campus but I applied for the scholarship because it would be a grat help to have my tuition paid I am willing to drive, but I haven't heard anything. Has anyone heard either from NOVA or Baptist? All I know so far is that our orientation day is August 25th. Once again Congrats and hope to see and work with all who got accepted. Cheers.

I went to the campus to make my second payment last week and she told me that the orientation day has been changed to September 2. Make sure you check with them first but im sure they will send us some sort of notification abou t orientation. Im so excited see you all soon.

I spoke to Vlad Lafontant and he told me to expect to receive a phone call from Baptist this week to schedule an interview for the Baptist Scholars Program. We should know if we receive the scholarship by the end of the month, approximately July 22nd.
