Nova application and acception process.
Ok so I just started the program this fall and so far I love it. So you apply and if your the select few you get called for the interview. Not to discourage you in anyway but according NOVA last year that had around 700 people applications and they only selected 150 for the interview. Dont worry if your GPA isnt amazing I think that your essay is EXTREMELY important. So if you get called for the interview your chances are really good in being accepted. Next the interview are just basic questions: why do you want to be a nurse, strengths and weakness', and some situational questions. Then it took about a month and a half for me to get the acceptance letter. I believe that the essay and interview are the most important parts of your application. I had friends with higher gpas than I did and they did not get accepted into NOVA. Good Luck!

Btw to make this clear when I said that Baptist covers tuition and fees... I called Nova and they told me that the fees and tuition are together so they are both paid for. Just wanted to clear that up.

NOVA Southeastern University BSN Fall 2008
I spoke to Vlad Lafontant and he told me to expect to receive a phone call from Baptist this week to schedule an interview for the Baptist Scholars Program. We should know if we receive the scholarship by the end of the month, approximately July 22nd.

NOVA Southeastern University BSN Fall 2008
Yes I just sent in my application on Wed. for the scholarship...it would be amazing if I get it since: 1. I'm not rich and wanting to spend 40K. 2. I live in Kendall so driving to Ft. Lauderdale is not that cool. The good news is that when I went to the interview they told me that last year they didnt fill up all the scholarship spots.. so thats good news for me.

PreReqs: How long has it taken
I just got accepted to Nova for the Fall of 2008, and have heard only good things about it. I started at FIU with all the prereqs, in reality the prereqs are about the same across alot of nursing schools minus one or two classes. I followed the FIU prerequisites and a sociology class that I needed and I got in. I am so excited to start in the fall and I believe you have a really good chance of getting in. Now ALL nursing schools are competitive and not a cake walk to get in but it is possible. But you they are do-able so good luck with whatevr school you choose!
