I applied to Nova's Entry Level BSN program today for Fall 2012 semester and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!
Let me tell you what I heard is the most important thing. I heard they really don't care much about your answer so much as they care about your communication. Give a clear answer that makes sense of course but mostly look the interviewers in the eye while answering and smile etc, the questions are pretty dumb. The essay questions aren't so bad. Something about smoking being banned from schools how do you feel about that, and some similar stuff. I don't remember them all because I answered the smoking one. They are nice in there and make you feel comfortable so don't worry. Get there early by about 20 minutes or so as well. It shows interest to be early.
Omg!! Sweetpricy Congrats!!!!!? I am super happy for you!!! You sooooooooo deserved to get in and you give me the faith that I too can get in for the fall I am going to start volunteering as well. I may not get to the 700 like you but maybe by August I could have enough.I hope you stay strong and do super well in your core classes for the program

my interview is coming up real soon and i am very nervous( i have trouble sleeping at night)...i have never been interviewed before and i suck at public speaking! for those of you that already had an interview what type of questions do they ask and i heard there's also an essay! what are the topics pleassssse! looking forward to hear from you guys! remember we are in this together! any help will be greatly appreciated! thank you in advance

I was nervous too when i got into the interview room. Its a group of 3 or 5 students with you at a time that go inside the interview room. The people interviewing the students are very nice and pleasant. They actually calmed me down a bit lol. They ask you to introduce yourself and say one one that describes you. Then they ask each person being interviewed a question regarding scenarios about everyday life. The questionswere not even medical scenerio's, so they are easier to answer and thats a good thing! Then they make you write a essay on three questions which you choose one which you have 5 minutes to complete it. Then you finish and ta-dah!
They walk you around the campus and show you the rooms etc. I am going to the kendall campus in Miami but i know the one in Ft. Lauderdale is gorgeous! Have faith be yourself and look at them in the EYES and remember SMILE! Dont be too much of a "goody two shoes" instead be YOURSELF! Show them you are humble, caring and want it badly :)

Hello Guys, i sent my final transcript to Nova Two days before my interview. my interview was on may 10th.when i check my vip page today my courses are still in progress, when i call them they said everything is fine so i am very scared.
I have been following you all for the past month and i am happy that some of you made it !! yay!! My interview is on thursday at the Fort Lauderdale Campus. So im getting a little nervous. Trust me if you want. I am a student who came from Broward College with a G.P.A of 3.91. I applied to Nova Southeastern University. I really regret to go over there. I am seeing people who are killing themselves on this website to go Nova or are crying because Nova did not call them. You better say thank you to God because you did not put an unnecessary loan on you. I think that Nova is harder than Broward College and Miami dade. And with this community schools you will be almost without debt. I understand a lot of you would like to be nurses, but be careful because in the $18 will be started $10 will be for Nova. Be careful, because they used to pay a nurse $24 per hour, but not anymore. At nova, you will find any help. It is like paying more money for more efforts. Good luck for those who do not want to listen!!!

And with community college you won't have a BSN either. Stop blowing up all of the NOVA threads with your false information. All of us are well aware that it is a private school with private tuition.
I do not think that you are a student. At a community college, you can still have a bsn, but the only difference is you have to get your AS first and after your bsn. Besides, at a community college a bsn will cost you only $12,000 approximately. But at this Nova, this bsn will cost you almost $80,000.

Why are they thieves? Because they are a private institution? They clearly state how much it costs to attend, so if you didn't research that's your own fault. No one is forcing anyone to apply there. So kindly stop raining on our parade.
I do not really have problems with the tuition cost. My real problem with them is that they are saying that they are there to help, but there is no help. You have to do everything by yourself and besides they hired a lot of unqualified professors. These professors do not even know what they are teaching. What the **** for my money? Good luck for you. I am sure many others who do not listen will come back on this website to tell to me that I am right. I just want to help people who want help. I paid $12,000 to have this information. Many students who went to the nursing program at nova do not say anything because they want others to spend their money to have this information. I am just putting this information for fair people. If anyone does not want to listen, I do not care. Please, do not reply to me anymore.
