hi guys,
anybody here tried registering in nova scotia? the Ontario nursing board have a tendency to evaluate new grad RNs from RP as RPNs. thats a diploma program.
No, I'm in still in Philippines. First you need to fill up the forms. Ask your school to send the filled up form then they should send it to CRNNS, same with PRC. If your working, you can ask your employer if applicable to answer the form I forgot which part was that. It's the employer's verification. Ask them to seal it. What I did is sent the part 1 along with the employer form. You can send the payment with the form 1 may it be bankdraft or credit card information. On the other hand, you can just call CRNNS to give them the credit card info if you'll be using one. THen that's it, you can wait for the assessment result.
Nope, no SEC for me. I'm just waiting for an employer who will hire me. I've been applying directly online but it seems that some of the facilities there mostly hospitals don't sponsor International nurses unlike in some other province such as SK, Alberta, etc.
Some requires you to have a license for them to sponsor you but there are facilities that hires IEN thru the help of agencies here and most of them are long term care.
Hello guys and gals! Just received my eligibilty to take the CRNE under CRNNS. Now they are requiring a Criminal record check from Canada and the Philippines. They gave me some documents that will be given to which ever authority here in the Philippines, but I don't know which one!
Do I pass the Request form to the NBI here in the Philippines or to any police station here?
And by the way, to those that have already been eligible and registered, have any of you done the "truecheck" crimical record check (which is required for Canada) and placed a Canadian address despite that you have never lived in Canada?
Because I'm having a difficult time finshing the form, since they are requiring me to provide the last residential address in Canada. But I've never been there, that's the problem.
Hope you kind people could help.
Thanks in advance!
hi lenjoy, have you already applied for a temporary license? Because the CRNNS site stated: (well, this exactly)
"A temporary licence is deemed invalid on the earliest of the following dates:
DOes that mean, if you don't apply for a temporary license in two weeks after they told you that you are eligible, it's then invalid, right?
I've emailed the registration office, but I still don't have any response. I was hoping silverdragon would have answers since she's registered in Nova Scotia, but I think she's not on duty tonight.
I moved to NS in December, and I thought I had 2 months from the temporary license time to fill out their self assessment booklet, then all they needed was an email that it was complete- not the actual booklet itself. Two weeks is really not long enough for mail to go through, even if you live right in NS.

I think it means the temporary license is invalid 2 weeks after the CRNE result is receive, whether one passed and will be eligible for registration or failed. I'm not sure though but I was able to read CRNNS website sometime.
