Published

Hi everyone, starting a forum to discuss updates about the hiring process for Northwell's August 2023 Fellowships. Just applied last week to NSUH and LIJ, haven't heard anything yet.

Thank you! Is there a time limit for each response, do we get cut off if we speak too long?

I personally found it difficult to hit the time limit. my answers were probably 1:30 or 2 mins max, so I'm not even sure if there was a time limit lolz. there's no timer that starts  counting down to force you to answer the question so id advise to practice answering the question by recording on photobooth or some other webcam app, maybe your phone. take notes to help as a guide

hi, I applied for the April fellowship & was offered a position. the in person questions vary from unit to unit im pretty sure but for me it was the standard:

tell me about yourself

strengths and weaknesses

what made you choose northwell

and a clinical question that was very simple

thanks for sharing, how many people were in the panel? and do you know anyone who is in the interview process for august? since they asked me for a video interview already I hope I can interview in person and have an offer sooner than later, I'm about to get an offer from a different hospital and don't wanna refuse them until I can have some reassurance from this fellowship that I really want ?

yeah, I had the in-person. I got an update about a week after the in-person that I was getting an offer. I got an offer & will be joining the April cohort.

what was their starting salary? I know new york state started the pay transparency but their range posted on the website is so broad, did they tell you what it was for ICU? thanks

hi, for me it was 4 people. for my friend I think it was 3. I've seen other threads where candidates were interviewed by up to 5 people. I don't know anyone in the interview process for august, sorry!! they can be a little slow but I'd just recommend following up with your recruiter. also, I think the pay is based off of experience. if you're a new grad, you should be getting paid the minimum amount posted on their website + any relevant differentials like night differential or bachelor's differential. for me it comes out to about 50/hr

Has anyone heard back after applying to the August critical care fellowship at the Lenox Hill-Manhattan location?

Did anyone's application status change since they applied? Mine still says "application received."

when I contacted the recruiter she sent me a video interview link and since then it says under consideration- but she told might take a good while before I hear anything back since they're just starting for the august fellowship

Hi, how/where did you get connected with a recruiter? I can't find any contact information anywhere and am wanting to follow up with someone since I applied a month ago but am still under "application received." Thanks!

Hi I honestly got it from a friend who was in the fellowship last year but her info is public! It won't let us post any identifying info here but you can Google "northwell critical care fellowship recruiter" and it's the first name on the linkedin result.. E.L
