Good Afternoon,
I wanted to see if others have heard anything from Northeastern University (MA) regarding traditional direct entry program that starts September 2014. Has anyone heard about an interview? Just wanted to get a conversation going!
Look forward to hearing from others!
So my interview turned into a phone interview due to the weather yesterday. I think it went pretty well, similar to everyone else it was pretty conversational. I just dislike phone interviews in general, I always feel like I'm not saying enough to really "wow" the other person. I'm also nervous now seeing that other people heard back for acceptance so soon after their interview. The email I received today said I would hear back around the beginning of March. I feel like this is the most stressful part yet...ughh. :***:Fingers crossed for everyone else who has interviews coming up
Hi everyone!
Sorry for jumping into this convo so late, and sorry this is a little long... but I also applied to the Direct Entry Nursing program (on-campus, pediatric) for fall 2014, but received an email today stating that the on-campus program for fall is full. They said "
At this time, the Direct Entry - On Campus program has reached capacity for enrollment.
Because you are a competitive candidate, we would like to consider you for the Direct Entry - Hybrid option." It goes on to explain how it is partially online but there are labs, clinicals, all the same, etc...I've done the research so I mostly know how it works, but then the email states "One of our experienced advisors will be calling you to discuss further."
I am unsure if this is their way of suggesting that I consider the hybrid option or if it is their way of basically saying I'm kind of accepted? Has this happened to anyone else? I received the email late this afternoon so I would assume maybe they'll call me tomorrow so I should just wait for a phone call?
If anyone has any suggestions for me or thoughts on the hybrid program let me know? While hybrid wasn't my first choice, it seems like it's still a great option...assuming this means I have a shot of getting in/was accepted. I'm also from Florida so I really any advice would be extra wonderful :) And congratulations to you all who got interviews!! And don't stress that the email I got means they've already made decisions - I'm sure it just means they've finished selecting people for interviews, whether or not they've informed everyone yet, i don't actually know. But any help for my situation would be greatly appreciated!
Hi shmali! I just got this very same email today. Did they ever call you? If yes, does that mean that we are in or we still need to apply all over?
I received the same e-mail about talking to an admissions representative. A person called me on Thursday at around 5:30pm to discuss the program. She said that since the traditional entry only accepts 25 people they ask competitive people if they would like to have their app. forwarded to the hybrid program...I said sure since there was no additional work on my part...
I also asked her if everyone received the e-mail offering a chance to be considered for the hybrid program. She said no, only those that are "competitive" get called...
Tidalrip: You asked a very good question, thank you for the information! I was wondering if everyone actually got that email. Well, there are more of us on this page: https://allnurses.com/online-nursing-schools/northeastern-hybrid-direct-852723-page3.html
In case you want to see how this very same process is going with others.
