Northeastern Hybrid Direct Entry Nursing Spring 2014

Hi All,

I just received news that I have been accepted into Northeastern's Direct Entry online accelerated nursing program. I am wondering if anyone else is also in the spring 2014 cohort? Just thought I would get a thread going to communicate details such as living arrangements, loans, what to expect etc.

Anyone hear any news? I still haven't yet!​

No :( I was thinking of calling tomorrow because I need to put down a deposit at another school soon to save my spot and NEU is my first choice. If I call/hear I'll let ya know!

Have any of you talked to or know people currently in the hybrid program? I cant seem to find a single person despite failed attempts to PM people on here from last springs cohort. (I've even searched former NEU Facebook groups and messaged people I don't know--super sketchy!!) Has anyone talked to someone first hand and heard directly how they liked it?

I tried calling. The number is an 781 area code and I keep getting a voicemail. The person is named nicole? Any body have the same number?

Yeah it is a 781 number, but my advisors name is Lindsey ! Let me know if u get a hold of them, I'm not having much luck either!

I just found out I was accepted, so they must be working their way through the applications! Good luck everyone :) hope to meet you all this fall!

I was accepted as well! Does anyone have any insight into this program? The only info I can find is from a past thread of a current student who said many people were planning on transferring due to maybe negative attributes of the program. I would love to attend but need some insider info stat!!

I got a phone call from my advisor! She said that they just started even looking at people applying for fall because they were still working on the ones for the May start. It sounded like they kind of just work their way through them. She also said I would get a letter soon.

Eburgmeier: I called the school where I took my prereqs on Monday and pressure them to get my transcripts ready. I finally sent them yesterday and they probably got them today, since I sent from a post office in Boston, 10 minutes away from NEU. So, I don't know how long it's gonna take for them to look over my application and make decisions. Did you apply for the spring or fall?
