  1. Faith2014: Absolutely, I am glad I already know a few people who might be in the cohort! Makes me feel a lot better :) We will have to make some sort of facebook group or something once there are more people
  2. Faith2014: Congratulations, that is awesome! Good luck with your other school :)
  3. edarcy1991: I am excited that another person on here has officially decided to attend. We should definitely form study groups in the fall! Faith2014 & Eburbmeier: I am sorry you are both still waiting, that is really frustrating! Good luck & keep us posted!
  4. Edaecy: I am too! Just gotta make the best of it
  5. edarcy1991: I will be in the fall cohort! I think that what it means is that you are accepted to the Admin MSN automatically but if you want to be in one of the others you need to meet with the director and talk about the options.
  6. Boston123: Thank you so much for all of your advice, I really appreciate it! Even though clinicals are assigned without any input have you found your clinical preceptor/the experience in general to be a positive one
  7. Boston123: Thank you for the insight! I appreciate it. I am definitely doing the program so all of your information is super helpful. I am nervous about it just because of the mixed reviews but it fits best for me so I am going to give it a go. Have people typically had clinicals fairly close to or in the city or have they been spread all over the 50 mile radius they say they can be within? How are clinicals assigned... is it totally random? I'm sorry for all of the questions!!
  8. Boston123: Thank you so much for your feedback! I was just wondering, would you mind explaining a little bit about a typical week in the program? Like how much time you spend doing the on-line work, how much time you spend in skills lab/clinical and how often you have to go to Burlington? Thank you for taking the time!
  9. Hey Tkdemm04! I guess in my mind every program is going to have some good things as well as some glitches and it's all about finding one where the positives and the things you value most outweigh the issues. A lot of the info that is out there is also from one of the first cohorts so I imagine some of the glitches may have been worked out since then. For me the Northeastern/Boston experience and the fact that it is hybrid is a great fit for me and I wouldn't pass it up over a few organizational issues, but in the end I guess it comes down to what you want the most from a program!
  10. Eburgmeier: I just called this number and said that I had previously spoken to (my advisor) and I wanted to set up an appointment to speak with her. 888.206.6004
  11. Faith2014: She didn't say how many applicants applied for fall, but I imagine not that many yet since most people who are applying right now are probably looking towards May. I am just finishing my undergrad at the end of May so I won't be able to do May start because my graduation date is too late, otherwise I totally would have done it!
  12. Faith2014: Yeah I found it was a bit confusing contacting people but once I was able to get a hold of them they were really helpful. Once they received my transcript that they needed I think it took about 4-5 days so you are probably right. I found the best way to get in contact with my advisor when I needed her was to call the main number on the website and just request to make a phone appt. so that she kind of had to call me back haha. Good luck :) I am sure you will hear good news soon!
  13. NS14: You have some excellent options if you have already been admitted to those schools, I completely understand your conflict! For me, the hybrid design is just a great fit and allows me to stay in the Boston area, otherwise I would definitely be considering my other options more seriously. I would recommend asking your advisor if maybe she could get you in contact with a current student in the program who is willing to talk with you. Eburgmeier and Faith2014: Did you both apply for the fall? Or are you hoping for May?
  14. I got a phone call from my advisor! She said that they just started even looking at people applying for fall because they were still working on the ones for the May start. It sounded like they kind of just work their way through them. She also said I would get a letter soon.
