Thread for the incoming 2019 Northeastern Direct Entry applicants so we can help each other out through the application process.

@Ilikeblankets I don't think they're doing interviews for FNP this year. I emailed them, and they said decisions will be released soon.

I received an interview invite for FNP on Thursday evening and scheduled the interview for this Wednesday.

For those who have interviewed, what were you asked, and what questions did you ask them?

Or PMHNP? The silence from Northeastern's program is deafening.... In some ways, Northeastern's direct entry master's program seems like less of a priority to them than their other programs. Any one else get that impression?

I was asked only a few basic questions like why NP and why specifically pediatrics. At least half of the time was for me to ask the peds Director questions about the program, so definitely have some prepared! I asked about things like pediatric specific research opportunities, and the structure for the pediatric masters part. Some specialties are a hybrid online and in person format for the masters classes, but I learned that peds is only in person. Good luck!

I had an interview with the FNP program director a few days ago and was told I would have an additional follow up interview with the undergraduate director, has anyone else had this?

Hello everyone!
I was accepted into the FNP specialty last week through phone call/email! Does anyone know if this direct entry program gives out merit scholarships? Also, I heard they don't send out acceptance packages with more info about the program?

Congrats! Do mind if I ask, did you have one or two interviews? how long after your interview did you hear back?

I was accepted for AGPCNP via email last Friday (and interviewed the last week of January). Has anyone heard about financial aid yet?

Does anyone know when final decisions are expected to be made in general? I know some specialties have heard already and others have not. I have not heard back yet after my interview, and was debating contacting admissions because I have other deposit deadlines coming next week. Does anyone who’s been accepted know when the deposit deadline is for this program?
