Northeastern Direct Entry 2018

Published

Hi everyone! I have found threads for all of the direct entry programs that I am applying to except for Northeastern, so I wanted to get one started! I have received an email stating that my application has been received, but so far that is all I have heard. I'm looking forward to talking to some of you! I am finishing up my undergraduate degree with a major in health sciences and my undergraduate GPA is a 3.95. My GRE scores are decent, but I have limited experience in the field, short of some volunteering, so I am afraid that will hurt me. I would love to hear your stats and experiences!

Is there supposed to be an online option for sending the deposit and confirmation letter? I don't see an option on the application like the letter says.

There is an option for that! Starting at the second paragraph, it should say "If you would like to pay your acceptance fee online, please click here and return the completed form to us" and "click here" should redirect you.

Are you set on Northeastern?

Ohhh! Okay, thanks for the help. Northeastern is my second pick right now. I'm still waiting on more schools to respond by end of March. The deposit hurts me ):

I applied for the ACNP track.

I've received no correspondence at all, not even a rejection. Considering others have received interviews and acceptances, I guess that doesn't speak well for my chances.

I haven't received any correspondence at all, either. Not sure what that implies, but I guess we just wait? Which track did you apply to?

I applied to the neonatal track and I haven't seen anyone post anything for NNP.

I have not heard of anything back yet as well, I am getting nervous. I applied for the Acute Care Track.

I am more and more nervous every single day that passes by and I don't receive anything, but I am trying to remain positive. Perhaps they haven't gotten to us yet. :)

Fingers crossed!

I received my acceptance letter in the mail today. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back!

Hi! I am late to the conversation but I received my acceptance phone call on Saturday for PNP and said I would get my letter in the mail this week. Has anybody made a Facebook group yet? I would love to be a part of it if anybody has!

I also applied to NNP and have yet to hear back!! When did you apply?

I will take this as an indication that our track hasn't been finalized yet - yay! :D I submitted my application on 12/1, but it wasn't marked complete on the site until 12/13.

You?

Anyone else a little irritated by Northeastern? They are so hard to get an answer out of - I tried calling and they have to pass my name along. It just seems so disorganized.

I had my interview the other day and it went well on my end but the interviewer didn't have answers for most of my questions. The program seems very disorganized and there seems to be a lack of communication across the board. From what I got from my interviewer is that the first part of the program is all in person, then you work for a full year (1 yr from when you get an RN job), then you apply for the master's portion of the program (admission to your cohort is not gaurenteed and you are competing with general master's students), and then that program is part time online. I was not at all impressed and have decided against Northeastern after this interview. Other programs seem to have it a bit more together.

What track did you apply for? I didn't know you have to apply for the master's part again. This is good information, thanks for sharing.
