Hi,
Years ago I met with the director of this program and really loved it. Over the past 2+ years I've been doing the prereqs and volunteering at a hospital. It began to go to the backburner because I felt an accel BSN would be a better choice. Well now that I am ready to apply I can't get this program out of my head as being the top choice. SO I'm aiming on the GRE's for Sept to apply for their deadline. Just wanted to see if any students could provide some input on their experience there, and post graduation. I had a NP a few years ago at Harvard Vanguard in Copley who was a graduate and said such great things. I also can see that only Northeastern students get these intern positions at MGH (I'm sure there are internships open to all as well, but I see just Northeastern ones- I'm an employee at Partners). This makes me think they have an advantage... anywho, any feedback would be sooo greatly appreciated!!:redbeathe
Thanks!
I just had my interview as well, we talked about why NP rather than MD or PA etc and also about working as an RN through the NP portion of the program. Overall, my interviewer was very friendly and seemed interested in finding out what in my life led me to nursing. She also definitely had my resume in front of her. I interviewed for Adult Primary Care and she also reiterated to me that they accept 24 total per year. I actually wasn't asked at all about my prereqs even though I am finishing then this semester, but I already have a Master's in Physiology so we did briefly discuss that coursework.
Hi everybody! I had my interview at Northeastern last Friday and I'm worried I screwed it up. I was prepared for a formal interview and had questions and answers prepared in my head, and when I got there it was SUPER informal. I kinda feel like I was just talking and don't feel as if I really answered WHY I want to be an NP. I don't really remember what I said I was so nervous! Is anyone else applying for the FNP track and had their interview? How'd it go?
I had mine last Friday as well and actually had the opposite experience. I was expecting something really casual but was asked some pretty formal questions. I probably should have prepared more but I pulled some decent answers out I guess.
I left feeling less enthused than I had hoped. NEU had been a top choice but now I have some serious doubts.

They said around $90,000 total at the information session (for the entire program).
