I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
I hope everyone is doing well!!! Congratulations on everyone who graduated!!! There is life after nursing school and it ROCKS!! ECC/NL/THR prepares you well for the nursing world and I'm so happy to say I went there compared to some new grads I was with during orientation from other schools, primarily BSNs. We rule!!!!!
I am working nights and doing a nanny job 3 days a week so it's been near impossible for me to get on here lately.
Also, congratulations to everyone moving on to their next semester!!!!! One step closer!!!!!
Mi'Shelle- thank you for posting your pic! That's awesome you got a real life graduation!!!! You go girl!!!!!
Hope work is going well! Do you still love post partum? Is it getting smoother now that you've been doing it for a couple of months now?
Yes, I have just gotten my 3 month promotion to RN 1. And yes, I am getting more comfortable with routine care. Sometimes our ladies and babies still surprise me, though. The good thing is that I can always ask someone if I need help. :bowingpur
I am also taking classes for a BSN, like online history and government courses. My hospital has classes, too. I have just started medical Spanish there and today I go for a self-defense class. They sure keep us busy.
But I love it.

Hey, nice to see you here. How is it going? I am guessing that you are not on your own in the ICU yet, right? Do you like working nights? I am working 8hr nights, too. Are you going for a BSN anytime soon? I think I have too many questions.
Just want to thank all who post here. I start NLC Fall 08 and have been on allnurses for a bit - enough so that I recognize people's names. I've followed y'all for a while and want to congratulate all who've been to EC/NL/THR and those who are still journeying. Ally, thanks for the post-NS inspiration!

Ugggh...I have got to stop getting distracted from my studies, but it's so hard!
