Congrats, Dream! ;)

I've pretty much neglected the Good Morning Thread that I used to post on several times a day! I said hi today, but it's been a while.

I'm just going nuts with studying right now. I get on here to take a breather, then hit the powerpoints again..... Yep, I need a summer! :)

I sure hope we don't lose any tomorrow. :o

Thanks for the info. 120 questions...900 points. :uhoh21:

Guess I better get back to studying.

Specializes in Operating Room.

Congrats to you too, Mysterious!:balloons:

Enjoy your not studying for a day. :chuckle

Mishelle, you will do fine. YOu can do it, I will be thinking about you tomorrow and praying for you.

:monkeydance: it's over! :monkeydance:

a group of us went to cheddar's after hanging around the school for a while. it was fun . ;)

ok....tonight my studying will be interrupted by my daughter's dance team meeting at the school, but other than that, it's hesi bound!

whewwwwwwwwwwwwww......it's time to loosen the beltloop and take a deep breath! :chuckle

by the way, here's nlc's 2nd semester choices...all feedback (instructor/site) is appreciated!

paul, st. paul

arnold-d, methodist

tba, trinity

melton, baylor

ford, va

can you believe we have a 2:45p - 11:15 p mt clinical (st. paul), then lecture on wednesday? what were those guys at ecc thinking?

Congrats Fun!!!!!!!! Doesn't it feel good to be finished - well for the most part! I know I will be studying for the HESI too but I'm not quite as stressed about that one!

I don't know anything about the instructors on your list - I only know the hospitals. I've always liked Baylor and I've heard GREAT things about Methodist - I actually wished Methodist was on our list because that is the one that I would probably choose. Then again, we also have to consider the teachers!!!

Here is our list:

Stanley - Presby

Beecham - Parkland

Edson - St. Paul

Breed - Charlton Methodist

Thomas - Parkland (Saturdays!!)

Our St. Paul clinical is 2:45 - 11:15 but we have the next day off and then we have lecture; however, I guess we would have to pick our patient on Sundays!

I have just realized that I have the same problem. Two of our clinicals are from 3pm to 11pm before lecture day. :uhoh3: I guess we can still study in the morning before clinicals.

Whoever came up with that schedule obviously had their head up their behind! That is ridiculous. How in the world do they expect you to do the clinical, and do well on the test days?? Lord! If they had a brain, they'd take it out and play with it...

:lol2:

Ya know...I say that about myself sometimes. So, I guess we are all in the same boat at one point or another. :D

Studying is ok during the AM time. I get up early anyway to take my girls to school. So, I'd have about 5 hours or so of study time in the AM before time to leave.

Did anyone have Arnold-Darensbourg for 1st semester at ECC? I know she had a clinical group at the VA last semester.

Specializes in Nephrology.

The people in my lecture were faced with those same issues. They had Paul at St. Paul from 3-11 the day before lecture. Their teacher always allowed them to have the day before the test off so they were able to study then. They loved the 3-11 shift because they didn't have to wake up early and they usually wound up leaving at 10...lecture doesn't start until 9 or 9:30 so it's not like these 8am lectures we were used to in previous semesters.

Mi'shelle- I've heard Paul is great....Melton is the sweetest lady in the world. She's truly caring and I would looooove to have her for clinicals.

I had her 1st semester at the VA.

I had her 1st semester at the VA.

Ok.....PM me and spill the beans lady! :lol2: :lol2:

Actually, I would like an understanding of if I should/shouldn't choose her, and why/why not.

If it's Charlton, it's definitely close to me....that and the VA.

I wish Melton wasn't so far away. I may go with Paul anyway.

uggggggh decisions, decisions! :uhoh21:

OK....back to studying for the HESI for a while.

Specializes in I have been a CST since May '04..

i would stay far away from edson. i had her for 4 weeks, and it was miserable!
