Tomorrow is my final skills test. I practiced all day yesterday, all day today, including 2 hours with Ms. Fie_____s yesterday, and 2 hours with her today.

Not to mention all the other practicing I've done this last week or so.

I am ready. I am confident. ......Please pray I don't go in there and totally screw it up. :uhoh21:

She was such a blessing...OMG...she will never know! Just the pep talks help out. I swear, we even mentioned this to her today!

I think she got tired of sitting at home...she is still on light duty. Therefore, we still have another instructor for PEDI, which will be at Medical City, not S.R.

I guess that's good in a way.... I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted Parkland or Medical City for clinicals. So, I get both this semester.

....And still got to be instructed by Ms. F who is SOOOOOOO nice and caring!

I would love to have some PM'd advice on wonderful 2nd semester clinical instructors at the ECC campus. I really want to get someone who is good and nice and cares...versus burnout, angry, and egotistical.... Thanks for any help!

On your last lecture test day you are supposed to get an envelope with the new instructors' names. PM me those names I might be able to help. There are instructors who teach at both campus.

Any idea how they rank the choices? Is it first returned, lottery, etc? We are all wondering and Branscome didn't know.

It was lottery for us. You rank your choices first, second etc, then check eCampus or eConnect frequently to see what you got. Do you think they might change this system? I know that they are thinking about doing 4th semester clinicals as full preceptorships.

I don't know, we haven't been told anything. Branscome said she thought it was first returned gets first choice and so on, but she said she really wasn't sure. I was hoping they'd rank us based on grades in 1st semester and give us picks based on that...lol...then I know I could get a good choice. But, alas....I was in the last couple for 1st semester when we did the lottery so I didn't get my first choice. I'll live no matter what I suppose.
