I HAVE A CAREPLAN QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

Do we put anything about the IV meds administered by the RN on a nursing dx of "risk of infection"?

For example:

Administration of Ampicillin 2G q 6 hrs IV (by RN) at 0900 and 1500 (D)

I'm not sure if we are even suppose to put IV meds on the DX form because we didn't administer them.

Thanks in advance! :pumpiron:

I would put all info there. So the instructor can see that you know what's going on with your pt' s care.

I agree with Katie because if it's on your meds list in your careplan then it should be incorporated into your careplan.
