I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
When you took the HPRS1204 course in the Fall, how did you practice the catheterizations? I am starting the course in March and am curious to know...surely we use "dummies" or such.
Thanks guys - hopefully I'll be starting in the Fall...
They are making HPRS1204 a pre-req now, starting with all Fall applicants. I'm kinda excited, finally a nursing class :-)

yes you will use dummies , good luck
When I went to MA school, we practiced on each other.
We gave each other shots, finger sticks, EKGs, and venipuntures (blood draws)!
It does help to practice on live people instead of dummies (or only on dummies), but dummies are just par for the course in the land of make-believe.
(I have to agree when it comes to catheters and NGTs! ...ummm.....come 'ere dummy!)
