what is the normal urine output for neonate? Is it .5ml/kg/hr? (studying for nclex)

Our minimum is 1cc/kg/hr 24 hours after birth.

Oh, duh...

For a newborn, in the first day or two, yeah we're happy with 1cc/kg/hr.

But anything older than that we want at least 2cc/kg/hr.

ni our unit we calculate at 1ml/kg/hour also....hope it helps

I've always thought it was 1-2ml/kg/hr.
