I would think that experience, references and (of course) licensure would be the primary hiring concerns. I've never worked as a nurse for the VA, but I've also never had an employer drill down to the accreditation of my ADN school. (I'm in a similar boat. My BSN is from an accredited university, but the school where I got my ADN lost their accreditation a few years ago. A long time after I graduated from there, but still...)

If you got your ADN when your school was accredited then you got it from an accredited school. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It doesn't matter they lost it many years later.

Again, I think licensure and work experience are the main considerations that employers have, but it's good that my school's accreditation was in effect when I graduated...
Do you have your RN license, yet? My state won’t issue a license if the initial nursing program wasn’t accredited.
This is a screenshot from a random RN job posting with the VA. The statement regarding accreditation is in bold on their website, www.usajobs.gov. Take it for what it’s worth. Some of the things the VA does is just jaw-dropping (from a private sector point of view). But that’s my opinion based on my own experiences with the VA.

So I graduated from a non accredited school In 2014 with my ADN. I went back and got my BSN by a school with accreditation. My question is am I considered accredited since my BSN is from there?
