No wait list at my school

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi guys and girls

If anyone is interested, there is no wait list at my school, LA trade tech in downtown L.A. I'm in 3rd semester and walked right in after taking the TEAS. If you are tired of waiting for school, think about applying to Trade Tech.

Hi nbamus, did you already take your TEAS? I met the counselor last month, and I'm still waiting for my testing date. Goodluck!

Hi chicklet03, I took the teas in January at cal state long beach and passed it.

Can you please give me more information about the program like the deadline and requirements? I was trying to look on the school's website, but I couldn't find anything.

Hi hnguyen523,

you can't find the info online. You basically have to have your anatomy, physiology, microbiology, english 101 and intermediare math done if you want to be put on the waiting list for Fall 2012. I'm not sure about chemistry but you have to go down there to meet with the counselor first before submitting your application to the nursing department. No appointment is required but make sure you print out all your unofficial transcript from all the colleges you attended and take them with you the day you go there.

Thanks!! Do you know if the waiting list for Fall 2012 is full already?

No I don't know. I went there back in october and they're still taking application for fall 2012.

West Coast University has no wait-lists either. California BSN programs in LA, OC, and IE

Isn't West Coast University also $100k? I'd think if you live in California and are considering a for profit school, I'd look to other states. I'm looking at Johns Hopkins and their BSN program is $60k. Still not cheap but they have an awesome reputation. California just seems so flooded with nursing students for some reason and if you are looking for less competition, you can find it elsewhere.

100k for an RN license? Even 60k is insane. Y'all need to think twice as that debt will never go away and your wages will be garnished if you don't pay......

lol it's a good 140k. LA Tech I believe is a community college and probably a 20th of the cost.

Do you have to live in Los Angeles County to apply for the program? I know that Nursing Allied Heath required that you have to be a LA resident.

No, there isnt a requirement of living in Los Angeles county - I am sure there are people from Kern, Orange and Ventura going there because all schools everywhere are impacted.
