I spoke with an enrollment counselor on 4/8 and submitted all requirements immediately, including my electronic transcript. I have some questions, and have attempted to reach him on quite a few occasions since, both by phone and email and have not heard back once.
I finally spoke to someone else in enrollment, who advised me that I need to wait for him to return my call. That was 4 days ago, still no response.
Is this common with the enrollment personnel at WGU? I have to say, as a potential student, so far I'm not impressed.

Honestly? No. I've heard other people have problems with the enrollment process (I did not, was just fine) but the school functions fine once you get past enrollment. I'd insist on a new enrollment counselor if this one does not return your calls - it's worth it!

Can you email me at [email protected] with your real name and contact info? I'll let the enrollment leadership know about this and make sure someone is in touch with you. Sorry to hear about this!

That was not my experience. I hope you can get connected. I've found WGU classes to be challenging, but achievable, and the enrollment counselor I had was very available, accommodating my work schedule, but not hovering over me.

I also had a very difficult time with enrollment, but that person who replied to you (D Smeath) helped me get in touch with someone that helped a lot. So do email him.

My enrollment counselor was responsive and returned all phone calls within one business day. However, keep in mind that you will never deal with the enrollment counselor ever again once you start your first class.

If anything one of my enrollment counselors acted the opposite, sometimes more than one phone call or email almost on a daily basis. The other ones were more in tune with responding/initiating contact on a timely, yet not smothering, schedule.
I appreciate everyone's responses. I'll be reaching out to Mr. Smeath, as I still have yet to hear back from the other person.

I completed RN to BSN program in Jan. of 2016. Whenever I asked something or had a questions, WGU responded promptly. I did not have any issue with them. Hope that someone helps you quickly.

My enrollment guy called constantly, but guessed whenever I asked questions and got a lot of his answers wrong. Not very knowledgable. Most info I found myself online. Once you are enrolled, you don't speak to them again, so you just have to get through it.

I have had a similar experience....was really quick to respond up until this week...I sent an email about what times of the month they start and if I could request a specific mentor and she hasn't called or emailed me back = ( I have 37 credits and want to start mid june if possible.
I just resent my email and got an automated response that she was out until next week...so hopefully that is all it is and will hear from her next week ; )
