Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
Hi all,
I have been following this group for the past 2 months.By god's grace and all ur support ,luckily i have passed exam on 21st.thanku all..
Sharing my experience, exam was OkAY..In my case I found the cbt links as really useful..The critical thinking questions in saunders nclex 5th edition was indeed helpful..nothing came out from royal marsden in my test...(its solely about my test experience, hope it may differ from person to person, as nmc is revising the test always)
My sincere advice-dont rush to answers.
*Take your own time,(keeping in mind , time management is important)
*Read questions and answers twice or thrice before reaching conclusion.
*Be familiarized with uk setting
*Be relaxed..
*PRAY..PRAY..PRAY
*Do ur part well and leave the rest to god.
I got my result within 1 hour.I have done my exam with pearson.Dont wait for mail from nmc, just login to your pearson vue account within 1 hour for your result.
ALL THE BEST FOR ALL TEST TAKERS..!!!

i have a question about the uk setting
what reference did you use?
Hi,
I really have no idea and I can't give a figure for the timeline. They say I got in easily because I only had 1 hospital experience so it was easy for NMC to assess. But I think it's not the case since I also have other colleagues who also had 1 hospital experience like I do and they're still waiting. I don't know if I have mentioned it here or the other thread I'm also following, I passed CBT last Feb 27, passed the documentary requirements and online application by the first week of April and received the confirmation by April 16/18. I even got glitches on my online account and was not able to upload for almost a month. They say I just got lucky. :)
hi guys! i passed the exam! Thanks for all the tips :)
I have clarifications regarding the forms and documents to upload..
(Correct me if I'm wrong)
Police certificate= valid NBI Clearance
Registration certificate copy= PRC Board Certificate (the diploma type)
Qualification certificate copy= College Diploma
I've only worked in 1 hospital since I graduated, in the employer details I will just fill in the most recent employer but send them 2 references by post? Will I leave the next employer details BLANK? or N/A? or same details with my most recent employer since I also need another employment reference? and since I am still currently employed, what do i write in the employment end date?
In the employment reference forms, what should be written in the END DATE if I am still employed?
So I'll go back to prc and my alma mater give them the required forms and let them mail NMC personally and then I'd have to mail them 2 employment references plus declaration of good health from our hosp physician?
Can someone please clarify these:

These are correct.

If you only ever had one employer then you only list that one. Don't put down the same hospital twice. But for the reference forms, you're gonna need at least two superiors to fill them out. As for the end date, only you can answer that for obvious reasons. Coordinate this with your two references, considering when you will really end your work, when you will date and send the forms, and when you expect NMC to receive your forms.

See above. Basically, it should be the same one as the date you write next to your signature.
So I'll go back to prc and my alma mater give them the required forms and let them mail NMC personally and then I'd have to mail them 2 employment references plus declaration of good health from our hosp physician?
For PRC, they should be the one to mail it to NMC, but you have the option to pay them extra for courier so you can track your papers. For your college, it depends. Some colleges give back the papers to you after they fill them out. If the case is the same for your school, ask them for an extra official school envelope.

Training Area reference form
Unnecessary in our case.
@KurokocchiTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!! So you mean I'll just leave the 2nd employer blank? Cause isn't it a required part because of the asterisk?
And do you know the email add of prc? thanks!
Oh, that's what you were talking about. You need to fill out both of them with the details of the persons you'll be claiming as your references. Coordinate with them first (have them fill out the downloaded forms) to make sure there are no conflicts.
PRC's email address is prc(dot)recordsmgntdiv(at)gmail(dot)com
Hi guys! My current hospital which happens to be an emergency hospital in our province, does not have a telephone. What should I write in the nmc online application? I think it is a required field because there is an asterisk beside it.
Can I just put the mobile number of my headnurse? Since our hospital is under the provincial govt, can I just use the number of the province? I am so stressed.

I find this extremely hard to believe. A hospital that doesn't have a hotline/phone, and a government AND emergency institution at that. I guess I'm just not that jaded yet. So how does your hopital contact or get contacted whenever there are referrals?
Anyway, if that really is the case, you can try finding the "number" that is listed for your hospital in a website or directory as it may be a personal number. If you can't find it, ask your superiors for advise and make sure they are informed and have consented to the use of the number (be it the provincial or their own personal number) to associate "officially" with the hospital in your application. I doubt NMC ever calls most of the institutions' numbers that are submitted to them but it never hurts to cover all your bases.

yes I'm a filipino nurse working in the middle east. I have sent my documents from both countries but still waiting in vain for any response that would be given by NMC.
