NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

@patzieiztapThat's great to hear that you've finally solved that problem.You should ask your school about the exact dates since you'll be going there anyway to have them fill out your transcript of training. And yes, it's 10 years for elementary and high school. As for the employer reference, you can ask some of your nurse managers or supervisors. Don't you have a nurse director, or is that your role? It doesn't have to be someone superior to you so long as they have a significant position in the institution and is a registered nurse. If nobody has sent you any guides yet, I would be willing to send you one my agency has distributed to us. My internet is still a bit wonky, though so I'll probably be able to send it later today. PM me or reply here if you're interested.

yes please do@kurokocchi. please do email me, i highly appreciate the help.

regarding the set-up, there are only 3 nurses including me who rotate on 12-hour shifts, both are my batchmates in college. we do not have other nurses working in the rehabilitation center other than us. only the psychiatrist and the dentist who owns the center, the admin and the psychologist. it is a small and private rehab in the province. the superior nurse who trained me left for KSA and he was still my batchmate.

or should i ask from my previous work in makati as a nurse coordinator who can fill this out. should it be the latest employer or anyone in between? i really am clueless at this point.

thank you.

its the number i posted before i believe it is 00442073339333 without the 0 in the parenthesis.

Hey. I read your message on my inbox. Unfortunately, i am not yet allowed to use the private messaging system as this is my 8th post only. They require atleast 15 to use it.

Anyway, yes i am from the PI and also currently on the assessment stage. You might want to leave your email on my inbox so i can directly address your concerns. Looking forward to helping you in the process.

@Bloress, BSN, RN

can i ask assistance on the assessment stage too? thank you. patzielingad!gmail.com

Provided you have worked with them for the set amount of time NMC has prescribed then you can indeed ask your former colleagues to fill out the reference forms.

Also, I sent you a PM.

@ PATZIELINGAD @TROLLBELLA ALREADY EMAILED YOU GUYS, OR GIRLS WHICHEVER IS APPLICABLE. :sarcastic:

@KUROKOCCHI ANY NEWS ON YOUR APPLICATION? ARE YOU ALREADY IN THE UK OR HERE IN PI? ARE YOU UNDER AN AGENCY? MAY WE KNOW WHAT AGENCY? IPAMS RECRUITS JUST ARRIVED EARLIER THIS WEEK IN THE UK. I BELIEVE THEY ARE TRAVEL NURSES AND ARE UNDER THE OLD PROCESS. I HAVE HEARD OMANFIL WILL BE SENDING THEIR RECRUITS TO UK UNDER KING'S NEXT MONTH. SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS :roflmao:

Still here in the Philippines, I'm afraid. I just recently contacted NMC to transfer the papers I submitted from the old scheme. I really don't want to go through that torment again.

Anyway, I'm under ASC and my trust is Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust and I'm to be situated in Princess Royal Hospital. The first cohort actually departed last May 12...which I was supposed to be a part of. *breathes heavily*

I'm sure there's a silver lining in all this.

Hi! I'm also processing my uk application with PNI Euromena Healthcare. We just had our interviews and conditional job offer signing with them a few days ago. I just have some concerns though. One of the agents said we would need to pay P25,000 for processing and mobilization fee for poea, insurance, etc. I think this is too much. They said this won't be covered by the employer. I tried searching for poea fees etc and all I saw was roughly $100 for poea, $25 for owwa and P900 for medicare. Any thoughts on this?

good morning... i got a job offer from gloucestershire... actually i did have 2 other nhs trust but decided to proceed with the first one because if i were to be assigned in london, i will really have difficulty in bringing my family to u.k. because it looks like the ratio of cost of living is like 1:3....

going back to the main issue, our employer told us that the fees we have to shoulder are the following: medical, cbt, ielts, nmc processing.... why? because anything that is in relation to my/our nursing registration is our responsibility.... other fees will all be shouldered by the employer.... poea, visa, plane ticket and ofcourse, NO PROCESSING FEE will be collected by the agency....

in order to make some clarifications and complains, visit any poea office in your area and ask about this so proper action can be taken, IF ITS NEEDED. Godbless

Hey bluecobalt and rhiashey! I'm also looking into an NHSP who says that I should be the one to shoulder expenses like visa, health surcharge along with that, which totals to more than GBP 1,000 (Php 78,000). I've asked someone here who is also under the same agency and said the Philippine partner, Aureus, told her to prepare Php 40,000 for the embassy fee. All this is still a blur. And is a heavy factor whether I want to push thru with this or not.

Regarding the CBT, IELTS, medical, NMC application, and OSCE.. I think all applicants under the NHS (those following the new system already) are looking at the same expenses and in my case, only the OSCE is the one that my employer is willing to shell out first, and then be deducted in my salary after.

And regarding POEA and other local fees, I haven't heard of personal expenses for these as well.

Hi! I want to ask some advice. Which is better CUH under Medacs or Continental travel nurse?

Hey Mitchikay! Juggling these two as well. Just curious, what did you end up choosing?

Hi raissatongol,

Please let me know if you have OSCE materials too. charitymarquez10190 [at] gmail (dot) com. Thank you!

@nilasingnahipon

I ended up choosing Ipams (under CTN) since they offer financial assistance, subsidized housing and food allowance plus a bit higher basic pay compared to CUH.
