Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
I am incredibly frustrated working with the NMC. First they had technical difficulties that lasted weeks to repair before I could be approved to take the competence exam through Pearsonvue. Now that I've taken my test, I've received an email from the NMC saying my results are available at the Pearsonvue website. I go to the website and it doesn't even acknowledge I signed up for a test let alone the results. I called Pearsonvue and they state they don't give the NMC results, that the NMC does on their website. So then I go to the NMC website to log in and there are more technical difficulties. I call the NMC and they say they have fixed the problem. When I go to log in, it still doesn't allow me! I called them back again and the person who deals with these issues isn't in the office so I will have to wait...again. The NMC says they cannot give me my result over the phone.Does anyone know the answer so maybe I can receive my results sooner rather than later?
Hi! I took the CBT twice! I'm sorry to tell you this, the first time I failed the CBT NMC sent me an email stating that the result is available on Pearson Vue's website. The 2nd time I took the test and passed it, NMC sent just one email telling me 'congratulations, etc.,. But who knows if they changed the way they notify the test takers.
Hello! I took the cbt last October and I failed although I was confident that I will pass. After a week of going through the process of DABDA, I think I can say I'm already on the acceptance stage. Haha. So, I'm ready to get back to the drawing board and I have been backtracking a lot of the posts here. Did you guys read the whole Royal Marsden book and the links from the Blueprint? Those are TMI. Hahaha. However, many of you are suggesting, so I'm planning to focus on them this time around. I have review materials from ASC, and I studied them except for RM (just browsed) and the links(didn't bother at all).
Hi I also failed my first attempt same situation I was confident. I took my second attempt last october and luckily I made it, but to warn you it's harder this time, questions are more complicated the same with computation. You have to be familiar with the code and concentrate moreí ½í¸Ší ½í¹‚ for sure you will make it this timeí ½í¸‰
Hi! anyone here currently in the UAE? Kindly contact me on my email - [email protected]Thanks a lot!

based from my experience - i studied the RM cover to cover and when i took the exam, 90% of the questions were obtained from them. Like the steps you need to do when you were needle prick. I studied the nursing code as well, tried to memorized each and every line. (Kind of good in memorization so I took advantage of that skill) i focus also on care of geriatrics (link from nmc website alone). God is good, i passed the cbt in one seating...

Hi! you can try visiting the Royal Marsden website and view the title chapters for the 8th and 9th edition. There's a slight variance you can compare and see for yourself. Some topics are added in the 9th edition however there are also some chapters that's only available in the 8th.Hi everyone...if u wont mind i just want to ask what are the different points between royal marsden manual 8th edition and the 9th edition?...what i have downloaded and read right now for review is the 8th edition...just want to know if there are major chnages on the various topics published that i should watch out for and review?..thanks.
