Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
The only study materials provided are from the blueprints posted on the NMC website. It's a really long document- I think about 50 pages long. They post some random internet links too but mostly they are not helpful. You just have to study from those and the NMC code of conduct for RNs. Good luck.
Definitely not true! The royal marsden book is the main reviewer for cbt exam. They took maybe 90% of the exam from there and yes you have to read the book from cover to cover bcoz questions were taken from it word by word. Adter the exam you can even check the book again and u will find most of the answers there.
Care of geriatrics/ nursing medication/nursing communication and code ethics are all downloadable from the NmC site. Read these articles and memorize each line if u can. Forget the blueprint (that one with tables) you will just get stress on how to review that article and none will come out from that

Gen88 is right. She said (if you look and read closely her post), "The only study materials PROVIDED". Yup, Marsden is a big help in CBT review but there was never a mention from NMC to study Marsden. I believe it's only the NMC blue print that they've been stressing on from Day 1.
And 90% of your exam might came from Marsden but that's not true in all of us. In my case, most of my questions were from the NMC blue print.
I hope future CBT takers reading this forum will be guided accordingly. Marsden is a big help, but never ever skip (at least reading once) the blue print.
Hi. Barts candidate here but not under ASC. True, there has been a delay in issuance of CoS's for Barts candidates not only to the ASC 2nd cohort (I heard only 8 were issued among the 20+) but also to independent applicants like me. I was expecting to receive my CoS this month as what was promised by Barts HR recruitment, but sadly I was told that my CoS will be applied for and issued to me next month.
Did Barts HR gave you an assurance that you will have your COS after November 5 allocation?
I have a friend who wasn't given COS last October and she is just livid and disappointed right now. I honestly don't know why she was not given COS.
I'm just a little adamant and anxious right now. I have asked ASC to move my deployment by next year due to my parent's health condition, but with the way things are going, it is certainly a cause of concern.
I really pray this will be sorted out come November 5 COS allocation (whatever the problem was/is).
I am incredibly frustrated working with the NMC. First they had technical difficulties that lasted weeks to repair before I could be approved to take the competence exam through Pearsonvue. Now that I've taken my test, I've received an email from the NMC saying my results are available at the Pearsonvue website. I go to the website and it doesn't even acknowledge I signed up for a test let alone the results. I called Pearsonvue and they state they don't give the NMC results, that the NMC does on their website. So then I go to the NMC website to log in and there are more technical difficulties. I call the NMC and they say they have fixed the problem. When I go to log in, it still doesn't allow me! I called them back again and the person who deals with these issues isn't in the office so I will have to wait...again. The NMC says they cannot give me my result over the phone.
Does anyone know the answer so maybe I can receive my results sooner rather than later?
