Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

I am really sad, my husband was expecting his DL and it's exactly 40 days, he got message frm NMC saying more information required. Now we need to send additional registration details to NMC. It will again take minimum 15 days to receive it in the uk. So sad....

Congrats for those who received their DL

Hello,

I know exactly how it feels, but wallowing isn't going to do any good. If only I could (and have time! I'm taking my osce in 9 days time!), I would write a novel on how extremely difficult it was. It took me 2 years to get my DL, from the old rules to new scheme. Cheer up! You will get there soon!!

Just an update on my CBT exam, just finished it today. When I my checked Pearson Vue, the status of my exam was "Pass", I was half-excited, I know this is not the confirmatory result, but it gave me hope that my exam went kinda well =)(Please tell me that "Pass" meant i passed the test =|). Going to the exam questions, most are NMC codes and situational questions. What surprised me was how many of the questions were from Royal Marsden practice test (around 15 items) and i mean word-for-word and some from NMC Code(around 15), the rest are from various nursing practice/nursing process/clinical skills assessment etc. (if you want specifics, ill have my email below to give you some details). The first 70 questions gave me an easy feel and that's when i started to panic, because the reamianing questions started to feel tricky (or i was just starting to freak out and starts overthinking lol), i managed to finish in a little over 2 hours, but just like what a friend advised me, always REVIEW your answers (this is when i realised that i had 3 answers wrong the first time, i checked the answers after exam =D), btw you can flag questions so you can get back to them when its time to review.A piece of advise, take your time, focus on the options that would best benefit the patient and read on British health trend that we dont practice in other country.

Sorry for the long post/typo erros. =D

P.S. Dont forget to pray! Pray! Pray!

Really. You have got so much patience to wait for your DL. WE are also almost in the same situation now.

And do you have any idea

Can anyone open their NMC accounts today? I took the exam 3 days ago and still Nmc hasn't sent me an email.

Hi. I already submitted my documents to NMC. How will I know if NMC uploaded the documents in the portal? Will it be reflected on my profile?

Hello, i suggest u call NmC already.

I also experienced the same thing. It took me a week before I managed to phoned them and then they just told me that there is a system error on their part upon upgrading the system so the person I talked to with manually process it.

emailing them would take ages so the best thing to do after checking is your pearson vue account and if it says there that you pass the exam then call NMC immediately.

hope this helps..:)

Hello.

for those who have received their DL already, regarding the reference form particularly on section 2: referee's detail, did your referee wrote their own phone number anf email address on the alloted column or just the phone number and email address of the hospital?

Should they write their own number or the hospital phone number.

thank you.

Hi! To those who have received their DLs or are already in the assessment queue, were you notified by the nmc that you were already in the queue?

NMC normally don't inform candidates that they are in the assessment queue already. You'd have to go out of your way and contact (phone/email) them for them to tell you.

They should put in the number and email address that they regularly use, regardless of whether those are home, work, or personal details. The point of putting those in is so NMC can easily contact them in case they have any questions regarding the candidates and their credentials.

In short, they should write in contact details that give NMC the best chance of being able to reach them at any given time.

Hi. In my case, the people who filled the reference forms put the hospital's contact number and email address in the section 2 of the form. Hope this helps.

Hi. Usually, it takes 10-15 days for NMC to upload barcoded forms from the day they received the documents in their office. You just have to check your portal every now and then to see if those forms have been uploaded on your portal. Also, always check your emails for any feedback. it is tiresome but it is the best thing to do especially now that NMC is receiving a lot of applicants. I did that for 67 calendar days. Hahaha
