Hi guys!

Anybody who already has the CoS? :)

Anyone here going to addenbrookes?

Hello everyone! Hope somebody can answer my queries.

Is there any option, say for example, a license verification in the middle east won't be available for me? Do I have the option of denouncing my experience there? All in all I have around 7 years experience. (3 years Philippines, 4 years Middle East). Can I just tell my Philippine experience during the NMC assessment?

Would there be any problem in the gap? I resigned in my Philippine hospital 2012.

Any idea would be a great help!

I think it would be better to refer this to the agency that you're affiliated with if you have one or contact the Nmc because by not declaring your work experience in the middle east which is a year greater than your previous employment is questionable.

Moreover it might jeopardize your application, they might think that you committed something illegal in your recent experience. Well this is just my assumption.. 😃 ✌

In addition, the gap should not be more than the work experience that you had, for instance your last work is 2012 and it's now 2016, that would make a 4 year gap in your history.

Again, these are just base on my opinion except the last part because I have learnt that from my agency..

RNTMBY i tried replying to you but it requires me to have atleast 15 posts.

Thanks for that @Itseuniceskie. It is really a gamble at this point on. I was just interviewed by a UK employer, signed their contract, did medicals.. everything going smoothly and now this problem with my Middle east hospital. Our middle east hospital usually cancels our licenses once we leave the hospital. Thats the point. No illegall or errors committed. I have no clear answers now but leaving our my Middle East experience is my plan B or C or however you call it at this point if its really difficult to get a License Verification from that side of the planet.

To those who will be taking OSCE sooner or later, or even to those just applying, it's always better to start learning and practising early. Most of the time you'll already know how to do the tasks asked of you, but you have to adjust them for the "proper NMC way" of doing nursing.

I just had my first clinical work day in the hospital last Thursday and I quickly found out nobody will "mentor" me since for the staff, it's just another typical busy day. Ask questions and ask to observe without getting in the way. Also, if possible volunteer to do the simplest tasks then work your way up. They can't turn you away because it's their explicit responsibility to make sure you know the ropes.

While working, always put in the front of your mind how you can apply the 6Cs in the task. Make it second nature. Most of the time I wasn't able to communicate with the patients since the staff and other HC team members were doing their work in a lightning-fast pace, but I'll get my chance. I'll be having my OSCE next month and I think having contact with the patients is definitely invaluable.

Very sound advice and well said, Kurokocchi.

Hi! I'm taking CBT on June. the test blueprint is very overwhelming... Can someone help me? Tips anyone? Thank ou so much!!!

Hi can you also snd me a pm? thank you so much!

Hi everyone!

I took the CBT this afternoon and finished with roughly 1 hour remaining in the alloted time of 4 hours.

But up until now (its been almost 5 hours) still no results. I know results can show up for as long as 48hours after the exam but the agony of waiting for the dreaded PASS or FAIL is just overwhelming and is taking its toll on me (a bit feverish now).

I wont comment much on what came out but I'm just hoping for the best.

Did you try to log in to your Pearsonvue account. Pearsonvue releases results after 2 hours.

Goodluck.
