ABOUT: Assessment phase

Right now, I downloaded the forms from the Assessment page and I also read the entire thread here. I wonder about the work references. How many referees per employment do I need? based on my understanding of the forms, it only need 1 but it seems that other applicants sent 2 referees... In my case, I have 2 employers since 2006 up to now. How many referees do I need to pass, 1 for each employers or 2 for each?

NMC didn't contact my references. If they did I'd definitely hear about it from my head nurse.
Also, I'm not sure about the UKVI requirements, but I think it's a much lower score than the one required for NMC application. Around 4-5 if I'm not mistaken.

Hi loveliegrace,

Thank you for the advice. I was surprised to see document received since prc sent it only last Aug. 20 so I thought it would be nearly a month before they will scan it which is what happened with my references. Anyway I will check tomorrow if not I will ring them. Maybe things are moving faster with NMC? Lol!

Yes, I already have my DL and I am booked to take the OSCE on October if the uni will not change it again. Had some problems with them too but they are also helpful in sorting it out.

Hi there! Today Sept 8 is actually my 60th day of waiting for my DL that's why I'm getting more anxious. I called them up to ask for updates but to add up to my dismay, they told me that the counting of days doesn't include their holidays and weekends! Now that's insanely disappointing as I was earlier expecting that I could have mine in 10 days time. =( I really hope I could receive mine (and yours too) since Nov 5 is getting closer, we all know what that means. =(
As for the COS, it is being issued monthly, every 11th of the month after their monthly conferences. COS backlogs from the previous month is one of the probable reasons why we keep waiting til now. Hi johnnnius! Have you received your DL? I'm pretty sure you'll get it soon. I just got mine today. By the way, the NMC received all my docs on July 9, 2015, so that's just a day ahead of you. You'll prolly get your DL today as well. :)

i heard you are set to go sometime in october. Your COS will maybe be released in a week or two

hi xhiwari! where did you hear that news? we've also heard that the next tentative date is october 1st, but we haven't received any update yet. we are hoping we'll be part of the next batch and the date will no longer be moved. we were told last june that we'd leave on august 7th, but it was moved to october 1st.

Hello! Have you called NMC with regards to your assessment queue start date? I was put to queue on August 17, so possibly we might receive out DL on the same week :-)
