Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

@johnnnius the cos will come from the employer not from nmc :)

Kurococchi and andy_rn okay got it, COS will come from our employers because they'll be the one to "sponsor". But what is my agency referring to as an "e-mail" which we will receive from NMC once we're done and passed the assessment stage? Because on my understanding, we won't receive COS from our employers without NMC telling that we've passed assessment stage. Hmmm

@johnnnius that email maybe your dl..

it depends on your employer. If your hospital wont deploy you without your DL then you might not receive your cos yet.. Not sure though. Because omanfil told me that some hospitals are deploying applicants without their DL provided that they are just waiting for it..meaning all needed forms were already forwarded to nmc. This is because once you are in uk, you'll still be undergoing trainings (for osce) which means you wont be a full pledged nurse yet.. Some hospitals though are requiring DLs before deployment..

I know some under addenbrooke and kings who left without their dl.. My bf, who's under asc, left without his DL. He's working as an hca right now while waiting for his PIN.. But he is under the old scheme.. He was part of the first cohort then all of a sudden, their employer required the remaining applicants to have their dl before deployment.. Some were delayed because of this.. So it really depends on the employer..

3 mos 1/2 since you sent all your NMC docs and online reqts?

Yes. They ad an IT problem that time that's why they finished scanning it April 28th despite it being sent early March.

NikkiFlores yup, i was there for my iom tb screening. done with tb screening? that's why i decided to drop by the office so i could save on the courier stuff and just let them send my nmc docs. i didn't mind if they would only send it the week after. kinda tight on budget. hehehe. also i submitted my orig docs when i was in the office. :)

andy_rn, Thanks a lot for that! At least it's getting a bit clearer. I am having dilemma though as to when I will file my resignation letter since ours should be filed a month before. I am thinking if I'll just resign by the time I have received that "e-mail". So when I receive my DL, then that's just the time I could proceed with visa processing? How long will that take? And by the way, what is your bf's employer if I may ask

Hellsing wow that sure is a long agonizing wait. At least you're on to the next step. Congratulations!

COS then visa processing provided that your employer will deploy you even without your dl..

Now that the NMC process has been protracted, will they even allow this anymore?

Now that you mention it, I remember back then being told by a Northern Irish employer they will deploy me to work in their nursing home even though my decision letter was still pending. I was the only one there who was under the old scheme and she was quite glad I came to their orientation, but I had to turn her down since I already signed the contract with ASC's client.

Hi, I want to know if somebody here encountered logging into their NMC account and went back to zero after passing the CBT?

I have sent an e-mail to NMC about this and I haven't received a response yet. Any advise would be helpful. Thank you.

When did you take and pass the test? Also, did you immediately visit your account after passing? Did it change so you finally have the option to pay before it reverted to the starting point?

If so, then that is quite frustrating. Did you try calling NMC about this? If you've just sent your email recently, you will not get a response from them until at least a week from the date you sent it, I'm afraid. I suggest calling them since based on many accounts here some problems don't get solved on the first call/mail. I'm sure you don't want to turn this into a weekly email correspondence with NMC.

I am feeling SO overwhelmed right now. I've been following this thread for a while, and write my CBT in two weeks. Im feeling OK about the exam, but whats really stressing me is all the documents that I will have to send once I pass. I read in their application guideline that "All of the relevant forms required are available to download from our website" (aka the forms you have to send to employers, registration bodies in your home country etc to be then sent to the NMC). But I can't find them anywhere?? Are they only available once I've passed the CBT? I want to send them out NOW, as it takes people forever to fill those things out and send them along to NMC, so that by the time they do send them I'll have (hopefully) already passed the exam. HELP? Where can I find these forms? Thank you thank you thank you to all you wonderfully helpful people out there!
