NMC Processing

Published

I've read several posts here regarding the processing of NMC and yes, it was all helpful.

But I just want to share my personal experience and would like to ask anyone from the Philippines who have started or who are still processing theirs.

I've applied for NMC registration (through an agency) last September 2013. I've received my pack 1 after 2 weeks, paid the fee directly to NMC and submitted the requirements through the agency. I was the interviewed and got hired by an NHS hospital (through the same agency) last October 2013.

The thing is, it's already March. Twenty-****-Fourteen. And I'm still waiting for the Pack 2. I'm getting really really hopeless and frustrated as to how and why the NMC is taking so long in sending my packet 2.

I just want to ask anyone who could give an insight to my situation or share the same experience -- especially those who were hired by NHS through Philippine-based agencies.

Does the employer/hospital really willing to wait til you receive your decision letter?

Is it possible to be deployed to UK while you are still waiting for your decision letter?

Recently, I've come across a lot of job ads here in the Philippines regarding employment to UK, but does anyone here knows the true employment situation in the UK? Do they really need Filipino nurses knowing that it can almost take forever processing the NMC decision letter?

I apologize for sounding a little desperate here for answers. But, truth be told, I am quite desperate for answers. So I would deeply appreciate anyone who would respond and share any info. Thanks.

Hi there,

I also started in October and sent my second package in mid December..

I I was told by my recruiter that I will get a option of which format I want to complete. CBT OR ONP!

hope that helps :)

hi, just an update:

called NMC and they told me they received my application Jan 15, and the wait time for the DL is about 30 days...goodluck to all of us!!

Hi There,

I have just received a e-mail from the NMC saying that if I choose to go with the new method as opposed to the old (ONP) I will have to resubmit all my documents, has anyone heard of this before?

Thanks,

Dana

I recieved my decision letter and the NMC told me through email that I have to resubmit all my documents as well! It took months for me to get all that together! I can't go through all that again. What did they do with all my paperwork?

Hey Ashely!

Same thing! I'm so upset it took me forever and I paid a lot of money to mail everything and for some of the documents... It's hardly fair. I hope there is some way around this...I'm also moving to the U.K. next week to it will be way harder to complete from there:S

hi anakatevangelista,

would you mind giving us an update on your application..I have gone through a tedious process still waiting for my DL started wayback Feb of last year..thanks!

I was told the same thing by my agency who contacted NMC. I really hope that they will give at least an exemption for us because It took almost 2 months for Saudi council to comply with my request and now I have to do it all over again?

Hi! can I have your email add? Mine is [email protected], I was instructed by my UK agency to email NMC before feb 28 to inform them that I want to transfer to the new system and in that way my payment can be transferred to the new account. But just now I received a message from NMC that the deadline was on January 31 and I was too late and have to make a new account! :arghh:
