NMBI Application Pack

Published

Hi everyone,

I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and now working as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse here in Saudi Arabia for almost two years.

I am planning to move my nursing career further in Ireland. I have paid the €350 assessment fee with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and the accounts department already provided me with a pin and advised me to wait for the delivery of my application pack.

The assessment fee was processed since April 17, 2015. I just wonder about how long it would take me to receive the application pack here in Saudi Arabia.

I hope that someone could help me. I'm so excited to process my application for Registration with NMBI.

Thanks.

Sorry I couldn't respond to your PM. Allnurses does not allow me to use private messages yet probably due to low post count. Can you please send me your FB account name instead so I'll be the one to contact you?

Hope you see this message. Thanks.

Hi! I have secured a job in ireland and i was wondering if i can bring my family in ireland. if we can bring our children with us what kind of benefits can we avail for our children? I understand that my status would we a working visa only and not as an immigrant. I was wondering if they are entitled to a medical insurance and free schooling? Because i think it is the two most important factor we need to take account before starting a life there. Please help. Thank you!

It has been 3 weeks since I mailed my application form to the NMBI and both my agency here in the Philippines and NMBI haven't responded to my emails regarding the application pack. Last week I asked the local postman if I have a parcel coming from abroad but he said none. What should I do? Should i call NMBI and when is the best time to call?

My first question is, did you address your file thru your agency? Because if you did, chances are your pack was sent directly to your agency. If that isn't the case, then I advise that you call NMBI right away. Time is of the essence and waiting is never an option. Take it from me who has regrets over that particular mistake. You can call them anytime during their office hours which is between 9am-5pm Irish Standard Time (or 4pm-12mn Philippine Standard Time).

An advice to anyone who wants to call either NMBI or their Ireland-based agencies, please use Skype subscription using a credit card. It is much cheaper and you'd be able to save a lot of money. The call quality is great as well. All you have to do is go to Skype and look at the subscription list. Choose Ireland then select the subscription that is best suited for you. For this month, I use the one that costs $2.99 (roughly Php 150) which is unlimited landline calls to Ireland for 1 month. There is also one that costs the same that offers 100 landline and mobile call minutes to Ireland in the same time frame. Just make sure that once you no longer want to use it, cancel the subscription before the next billing date so that you won't get charged again for another month.

Hi everyone, since on the 26 of last month my nmbi account changed to further info required it has not changed to assessment. I replied their mail on 29 of May stating for clarification on date I registered with the nursing board in my country. I've called nmbi twice on this issue, at first they told me that they are conducting assessment even though online account show further info. The last person I called told me it will be updated after 15 working days. Im really confused. I nice suggestion would help

Hi vera007,

Yes, sometimes it takes them a while to change the status. Mine took a month from Review Pending to Decision Pending. Wait for a few days more and if it still doesn't change, give them another call. :)

Thank you, Its kate cowhig.

Do you know any information about family reunification visa for Ireland

Hi jerry007.. i know little information about the family reunification. I think when you finish the adaptation program and you are already a registered nurse in Ireland you will be able to sponsor your wife and children within 6 months... im not really sure about the info... if you are member in the fb group ( filipino nurses for ireland- 2nd generation) there is a post regarding this matter... :)

I have applied by myself for NMBI application and Feb 2017 - I rcvd my D/L.

Skyp interview was on APRIL. thru KCR.

all required docs given by 1st week on June

Now awaiting for the visa approval.

Regars/Jerry

Good for you! Congratulations, do you have any idea if they really did called the 3 references that they asked? If they did, what did they asked? Thank you so much!

@carlosmarcos and @JERRY007

We are under the agency KCR, and in fact after what happened with my St Vincent's adaptation being pushed back indefinitely, they have been persuading to refer me to Cork University Hospital as well. Last month, one of the agents said that if I accept the offer, he would be able to line me up for the next adaptation and that I would leave as early as 3rd week of July but I didn't say yes at the time. They are still asking me to accept it until this time though but if I accept it now, I wouldn't be able to be included in the July adaptation anymore.

Anyway, were you guys told to sign the 17 pages HSE Application Form as well as the Statutory Declaration Form?

Thank you @Skye88 that's a great idea.

Hi everyone I'm under a recruitment agency called TNPA ( The Nightingale Placement Agency) in Dublin Ireland. I've contacted so many recruitment agencies Including Kate Cowhig., Nurse Ireland but none replied except this TNPA. My major concern is how efficient and reliable they are. I have done the 1st interview with the agency and they promised to find an employer since on April. Although I am processing NMBI reg. by myself. Does anyone know anything about them. I don't have anyone in Ireland and don't want to be stranded. Plz I need suggestions

Hi! I think that, I already filled out the 17 pages HSE Application form prior to interview with CUH panel. I am not aware of Statutory Declaration Form? I have received quite a number of forms from them that I have yet to fill out once I have a DL. Where are you based?

I haven't heard of that agency so I couldn't comment about that. Where are you based (country of nationality) though? If it is the Philippines, you need to ask TNPA if they have a Philippine-based agency tied up with them. Otherwise, you would have huge problems later with the visa processing since DOLE suspended direct hiring as of late. Not sure whether or not it was lifted already but it is better to be safe.

Also, I highly recommend my agency KCR. They are very swift with the processes and they can easily be reached through emails. If they haven't responded to your emails, I suggest that you call their office directly.

The Statutory Declaration is 4 pages long, where you have to sign that you are pushing your application with HSE. It came with the HSE Application Form.

I am from the Philippines. What about you?

Btw, I tried to send a private message. I'm not sure if that went through though. Allnurses forum makes it so hard for us to connect with each other.
