The application for NJCU is open for both Wall and Jersey City! I thought I would make a thread for this years round of applicants. We can share our experience with NursingCAS and the HESI.

Things have gotten hectic at my job and now I wouldn't have time to meet up They haven't hired a new person to help me (we need 2 people to do the job) but it is just me and I am getting overwhelmed. I will have to meet all of you guys at orientation. I am excited to meet everybody though :)

I understand we will be fitted for uniforms at orientation but we should go prepared to order, that is place the order. According to the form, they cannot be returned/refunded. Hence, the fitting at orientation.

for the CPR cert, are you guys just jumping the gun and getting it out of the way early before they tell us anything at orientation? I read in the handbook that we need AHA BLS, which I already have so I would just need to recertify if that is the case

Congratulations to all who were accepted. For those who will be attending the Wall cohort. You should have received your gothicnet id and password in the mail. Through Gothicnet, you should be able to accept your loans. I do believe it is in the Students section. When I looked, I noticed that my loan for the fall/spring was much lower than I thought it would be so I called the Financial Aid office. I was told that they had me down for a third year student instead of post-baccalaureate student. ****** in the financial aid office corrected it and now I am receiving the full 12500 which half covers the fall and half covers the spring. FYI it is split between subsidized and non subsidized. Also, the summer loan wasn't there. I was told they didn't have my financial aid application for summer, even though I handed it in on orientation, just like everyone else. I was told to complete the form again and fax it to them. My summer loan is there now. If you didn't receive your summer loan, try calling and/or faxing that summer financial aid application to them. Once you accept, you have to complete the entrance questionnaire on studentloans.gov and sign a master promissory note.

My deposit still hasnt been taken out of my account. Did anyone's deposit get taken out of their account yet?

I sent over a money order so I have no clue if they received or not. I'm guessing they did since I didn't get a call.

I sent a check that still hasn't been cashed. We're all in the same boat. I would just like a confirmation email or letter that I'm good lol

Don't worry guys. I emailed them about receiving my deposit as well as other questions like immunizations... They told me that they received it and it takes a while for them to cash in the checks.

Thanks for checking in with the school! I am a bit more relieved. Did they say anything in particular about immunizations? If anyone is looking to do CPR, i am doing mine on June 3rd for a reasonable price. Please let me know if anyone is interested
