The application for NJCU is open for both Wall and Jersey City! I thought I would make a thread for this years round of applicants. We can share our experience with NursingCAS and the HESI.

Hey everybody!
I was so discouraged to find out that I was wait listed, but today I got the acceptance email. Has anyone else that was wait listed gotten an email? The final deposit is next friday so ahhh stressed. For the ones that already put down their deposit, what happens next? Do you guys get a financial aid package with the list of classes? To be honest, I am trying to figure out the finance part of it.
Yeah I started looking at private loans and loans for nursing students. The interest rates are higher, but lower than others. There are scholarships that may help like the AmeriCorp for Nurses. From what I understand, if you apply for this program you have to commit to 2 years or more of going to an area that is in high demand for nurses and it can be anywhere in the country. After you complete the 2 years, they will help you pay up to 60% of your student loans, which in my opinion is a sweet deal.

Guys don't stress. The program is great.
They don't cash the $500 check for weeks, make sure they end up applying it to your tuition some people had to call after getting tuition bills.
Enjoy the summer if you are going to Jersey City. No real reason to read beforehand. But if you want to, read the Fundamentals or Health Assessment book. They are the 2 main books 1st semester.
Ipad mini's are great they distract from studying :)
