Nipissing SPP 2018

Published

Hi there! Just wanted to get in conctact with other applicants who are applying to the Scholar Practioner Program at Nipissing University.

We could use this thread to talk about different components of the application.

Cheers :)

I recently recevieved an email from Casper saying that it takes them 4 weeks to send the test results... really hoping they aren't waiting for the results before they send interview invites

Ugh that would suck! I don't think they will because it said on the supplement app. that they dont need those results by a certain date. If they wait till they recieve all the results they will be off schedule, most likely. Lets keep our fingers crossed!

Hi I'm Lee! SPP is also my first choice. I'm currently working in sexual health. :) Been checking emails every day haha...

Welcome!! What a nice array of different health sectors we have here!! This shows how nursing is truly multidimensional - Nipissing would benefit having us all!

Fingers cross we hear soon!

I think they consider the CASPer results along with how we do in the interview. They will evaluate GPA and supplemental/references to determine whether we get an interview or not. Hope we all get one :)

I think that sounds pretty legit! Lol :) anyone else anxious to get an invite to interview? When do you think they'll come out?

Hi everyone! I finished my undergrad in Psychology, Child & Family Studies in 2016. I applied to Nipissing and UofT and am working at Sickkids in research right now. Hoping to get in to both programs, but it seems these programs keep getting more and more competitive! I was reviewing the application package and remembered interview invitations are coming 'late February' I'm getting anxious to hear back! Does anyone know if its safe to assume if you don't get an interview, that 100% means you didn't get in? I'm assuming thats the case but not totally sure

I think that would be the case..but maybe call Admissions and double check? I also think that WebAdvisor would be updated as well.

Oh yes thats true!

Has anyone called admissions to see if they are waiting for the Casper test results before sending invites by chance? I'm tempted to but I don't want to annoy them haha. Last year it seems like they waited for the Casper results based off of forums that I've read from last year

I believe they're not looking at your CASper before hand (it didn't say on their admission timeline that they would) but I'm not 100% sure. I'm so anxious now that it's end of February!

How did you find the CASper btw? I'm doing mine tomorrow.. tt seems OK but I heard you have to type really fast!

I don't think they wait... because I wrote mine on the 11th and theres a 4 week processing time which takes us into March but I'm not sure!
