NICU RN in trouble in VA

I am looking for legit sources to read about the nurse (and the hospital) that is in trouble for allegedly harming NICU babies. 

What have y'all heard?

OP I wondered the same. I read the same news articles you probably did but haven't found any official documents pertaining to this (only did cursory web search). Specifically, I doubt HCA suspended admissions out of the goodness of their heart; that was done either in attempt to look noble in the face of what they know is coming down the pike or because they were told to.

And what are the specific findings that led to this nurse being accused.

I've done some reading on this and I haven't found anything on what the actual evidence is against this nurse. It gives me the feeling of a witch hunt.

Nor will you, I suspect, until it's released during trial.

There was another series of events in 2023 involving at least 4 other infants with similar injuries.  The nurse in question was one of two employees present on the dates that these injuries occurred.

What in the world kind of injection is given to a premature baby? 

I doubt that was what caused the fracture but it just stuck out as very odd. 

Another one of the babies had 12 fractures!!

Vitamin K is given IM to all newborns.  If over 1500 gms, they also may get Hepatitis B vaccine.

But I can't imagine what kind of force would be used to cause a fracture.  You pinch the thigh muscle, not bend the leg.

I didn't realize this was an HCA hosp!! I hope they lose their shirts and have to close up. I feel sorry for people that this kind of hospital is their only choice 😓
