Newman University 2019 Applicants

Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

I'm trying to see who else is applying to Newman University's program this cycle since I haven't seen a thread yet. How's it going? I am nervous! ? I've heard they are competitive and the interview is tough.

Additionally, if you have been to their interview, what was it like for you? Thanks in advance!

I have one Friday in Florida but after that interview I feel like I need a good solid months to study again. It will be here before we know it though!

I also have been accepted to another program but it would require my husband and me to move across country, so Newman is definitely first choice. The more I think about my interview the worse I feel, also.

Congrats! Did you both have to pay to hold spots at the other schools like Newman requires you to do?

Thank you! Yes, my “seat deposit” would be due by February 1st or 2nd.

Yep, I already paid the deposit. If I get into Newman I'll just have to eat the loss, but it'll be less money in the end since we won't have to move and pay out of state tuition for a year.

Oh then the timing is perfect if we find out Friday!

They said we might hear back tomorrow but here I am pathetically refreshing my email every hour today anyway ?. I should have picked up extra shifts this week to help pass the time!

Same... *refreshes email*

Check your emails. Acceptance letters are going out.

I got in!

Congrats, 2015RNgrad! I’m so glad it worked out for you this year! That’s awesome!

I didn’t get in this year but am trying not to feel too defeated. Congrats to everyone who was accepted for this year!

Thank you! I'm sorry to hear that - if it makes you feel any better, I interviewed last year and got rejected. That interview helped me know what to expect and prepare better this time. Good luck next year!
