Hi everyone! My name is Marcy. I'm kind of a newbie here. I've had a membership for awhile but just don't post that often. You all will probably be seeing more of me now because I just got my accpetance letter today in the mail for the ADN program!! I'm so excited but very nervous too. Is it really as bad as what people say?? I start January 18th. I have so much to do to prepare before then. I have to get my physical, get all my books and supplies, plus I want to start studying and learn some of the basics because I really don't know a whole lot about nursing as of right now. I hope to get to know all of you and I'm sure I'll be posting alot more often asking questions or just venting, lol. Well I just thought I would introduce myself and announce my good news :) .

Hi Marcy, and Congratulations!!!! That's so exciting! I love nursing school, yes it's stressful and really time-consuming but I really do enjoy it, I'm sure you will too. I look forward to seeing you post more.... this is a great support group here, very helpful and you'll learn lots. Congrats again!

Welcome Marcy! Congratulations!
I love nursing school! I have been on Winter break since a week before Thanksgiving and I am ready to go back already:eek: (I can't believe I just said that)!
It can be stressful at times. My best advice to you is to enjoy your time before you start. Is there a book you've been wanting to read? Read it now because you won't have time after school starts. I am stocking my freezer with meals so that I have easy dinners once school starts again. Good luck to you!

Congrats! :balloons: What an accomplishment!
It's not "that bad" but it can be stressful and overwhelming. Don't hesitate to ask any question or vent any irritation. We are here.
Enjoy the holidays and get lots of rest!

Welcome & Congrats!!!
Thanks everyone!! I know it's going to be stressful, especially since I have a 4 1/2 month old baby girl that is just starting to teeth, but I have a wonderful and supportive b/f and family that are willing to help me out whenever I need to study or if I need to just take a break. I have an orientation meeting today at my college for the Spring 2005 class. I'm really anxious to meet my instructors and my class mates. Anyway thanks again for the warm welcome and I hope to get to know all of you better.

Congradualtions. I'm making a return to 4th semester. Had to drop out last March, 8 weeks from graduation with an 83 avg. Had to decide between graduating with my class with 9 toes or waiting a year and do it with 10. Maslows Hierarchey became very clear @ that moment. An Epiphany!!!!!
