Fort Worth is wonderful. Thriving, lots of cool stuff and arts and all that. A true melting pot. Not too big, but not small. Very friendly people. We moved here 11 years ago and love it.

I relocated from California to Fort Worth nearly 10 years ago and enjoy it. It's a city of 800,000 people, but is easy to navigate and has a small town ambiance.

I went to TCU for my education and had clinicals all throughout the Fort Worth hospital district. I will be working at Texas Health Fort Worth as a resident and start in about a week. I absolutely love it here. Fort Worth is amazing and has everything you could ever want for a city, in my opinion. The hospital itself is also fantastic. I'm so excited to be working for them. Everyone I have met and talked to is super welcoming. If you have any specific questions, feel free to shoot me a message!
I should also add that I grew up in the Houston area and while it is a wonderful city as well, I had no desire to go back. I definitley recommend visiting both in order to see which one you prefer. They are very similar but also very different in so many ways.

UTSW Clements University Hospital in Dallas is probably the highest level CVICU in the area.

Have you made up your mind yet?
Hopefully, you've had a chance to visit before now..... we're in our "Africa hot" part of the year now (July-August), and this can be a real ordeal if you're from a cooler climate. This is the time of the year when we natives minimize our exposure by avoiding outdoor activities from 11AM - 7PM. We usually just scuttle quickly from one air conditioned environment to another during that time period. Another consideration if you're scheduling a visit... peak hurricane/tropical storm time in Houston is usually in late August through September.
Come on down!
Hey guys thanks so much for the awesome feed back . Still on track to move to Texas leaning more toward Houston it seems they offer a better overall package for relocating: I'm actually coming down to visit and look around .
