New York Presbyterian/Columbia (NYP Email) New Grad

Published

I got an email yesterday from NYP/Columbia that I am selected as a "top candidate" and can skip the meet and greet and go to an interview with Nurse Leaders in June. Has anyone else received this now or in the past and could provide advice? I know the process is long being hired at such a premier hospital. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.

Thank you!

congrats! Thank you for this helpful information. I was hoping they did not have only one new grad hiring rotation per year.

I will also be applying in May 2016, and just wanted to gauge if I have a shot, what was your gpa and did you have any connections at nyp? Like externship or volunteer?

can anyone please tell me about the pharmacology exam?

I worked there now and I can tell you if you study their studying guide you'll definitely pass. It's not hard at all.

@fatim1984 Thank You!

for those of you working at NYP as new grads, how do you like it?

Has anyone applying for the Jan 2016 residency application heard anything back yet? I've done the application and the battery test but still waiting.

The application for the new grad 2016 closes tomorrow and I think they send email out starting the 14th to those who qualify

Thanks LIRN5783!

jlc128, BSN, RN How did your interview went at the ED? I should be receiving an email from NYP by this week for the new grad program & I am dying to get into the ED.
LIRN5783, ADN, BSN- I applied and is still waiting to hear back. Hopefully those who get accepted will hear back by this week. I have multiple classmates who applied and 3 of them got rejected last Thursday. Finger crossed.

Nadia 89 I do hope you hear back as well. I was rejected so I'm looking for something else. Best of luck
