Will past struggles in school continue to hold me back?
I received a bachelor degree in another major. My grades was similar to yours and I graduated with a 2.5 ( I always joke that that transcript has every letter in the alphabet). I went back for my ADN and graduated with a 3.86 and about to finish the RN-BSN. Looking back when I applied to the RN- BSN they need to see classes I have taken previously that can be transferred over to their program. I'm not talking about just classes from my ADN but the other classes I took from my BS like sociology, humanities classes and arts. I don't think they will use those previous grades against you especially if you are doing so well with the ADN. It's mandatory for all schools to receive all your transcript but I know they won't hold it against you, if there are any classes they can transfer over they will, but I highly believe the ADN holds more weight. I think you will be fine good luck.

New Grad Event at New York Presbytarian
Re reading the post. It says the event is open for those who graduate spring 2015, fall 2015, and winter 2016. Not spring 2016, I guess the event for the spring 2016 will be included in the next event. But spring graduates can finish their program in March or may. So idk. Just wait and see what happens. I may be wrong. I don't know anything about finishing a program in February, maybe that's considered a winter graduate, not sure. But if a manager. Says you're ok, then u should be.

New Grad Event at New York Presbytarian
When researching past threads about this event, it seems like this event is to meet with HR administrative and if that goes well they will invite you to meet with managers. heres an old thread. https://allnurses.com/new-york-nursing/nyp-new-grad-923250.html

North shore Lij critical care nurse fellowship 2016
Congrats krystal710! I hope it all works out for you! So Ive been an RN for over 4 years and I'm actually completing my BSN program in 2 weeks ( can you feel the excitement? :)). As for references I actually posted recommendation letters after I sent in my application because I was caught off guard with how early they posted the position, and trying to get people to write the letter fast was nearly impossible. As for gpa it's currently a 3.52 so idk. But I'm trying to not stress over it. I would love to get a call back. But I also know what ever is meant to be will be you know. But your right, there is still two months left so you never know. Good luck with you second interview. Keep us posted on how it all goes! I'm living vicariously through you lol. Good luck again

Graduate Courses
I've definitely read that some schools will transfer a certain amount of credits to count towards the program. When the time come I plan on contacting the schools I plan on applying to and ask them which class will transfer over. You should do the same.

New Grad Event at New York Presbytarian
LM NY I am actually in the same boat as you i will be finishing my RN-BSN in december. I was thinking the same thing that they may not consider me for the position since i have been an RN already, but i decided to call HR. I explained the situation and the woman i spoke to just told me to apply. So i did. it was weird because she didn't say yes we will consider you or no, she just said apply. So i think you should do the same, the worst that can happen is that we do not get a call back.
