New York Presbyterian/Columbia (NYP Email) New Grad

I got an email yesterday from NYP/Columbia that I am selected as a "top candidate" and can skip the meet and greet and go to an interview with Nurse Leaders in June. Has anyone else received this now or in the past and could provide advice? I know the process is long being hired at such a premier hospital. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.

I said I was interested in it but after looking at previous allnurses threads where people were talking about it, I really don't think I'm interested anymore.. I hope the fact that I said I was interested doesn't disqualify me from getting a real offer.

any advice from anyone who has gotten a new grad job in NYC? i NEED a job ASAP, like many but I cannot wait to begin my career!

Network your butt off! That's all I started doing mid-july when I started feeling desperate, and I wound up with 5 job offers! I didn't have any connections at these hospitals originally. Whether it's via linkedin, or you just find emails of nurse managers, people high up, etc.! Sell yourself to them and you will get one!

Congrats jlc128! If you dont mind me asking, which location or general unit are you working and what did they quote you?

Also, I called today and they told me they are still trying to sort people on the wait list so there is still some hope.
