New York Presbyterian/Columbia (NYP Email) New Grad

I got an email yesterday from NYP/Columbia that I am selected as a "top candidate" and can skip the meet and greet and go to an interview with Nurse Leaders in June. Has anyone else received this now or in the past and could provide advice? I know the process is long being hired at such a premier hospital. Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.

I think for the people who interviewed at Columbia changed in one week and the people who interviewed for Cornell changed in one day. I don't know how they arrange who they would pick first nor do I think they'll tell us :-(

I know someone who had an interview in Cornell whose status changed in a week so it just seems so inconsistent

I heard NYP is waiting for more new grad positions to open up before they start calling back individuals for interviews. Once these positions open up, they will begin to move forward with "future consideration" candidates.

I have not heard about any of my classmates also working at Columbia, however I know a few people who are starting next month at Cornell! I start august 10th, it will be interesting to see if I see any classmates! :)

When did they call you back for an interview? Did you have to consently contact human resources?

I was called the day after the first interview at the begining of June. No bugging HR needed ha! other people I know with jobs at Cornell worked there as nursing attendants I believe.

Hi everybody!

I also interviewed at Cornell on June 16. I took and passed my NCLEX on July 1. Since no one has contacted me either I decided to e-mail the manager I thought most likely to hire me to let him know that I passed. He wrote back and said that all candidates are still being evaluated and that talent acquisition would contact me when final decisions have been made. This was on July 8.... not sure what that means :/
