VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

I don't blame u ATALL Glady! U paid ur $200 bucks just like everyone else to take the entrance exam n PASSED! There's no reason people who took the exam after u should get accepted before u! I would be frustrated, ****** off n everything in between! Wait another day or so n if still nothing I would make a person trip to VEEB (deposit money in hand just in case) if I we're u. $200 is not a heap load of money but it ain't chump change waiting to be spent in vain either. Seriously!

Thank you Lily....I'm so happy to see that someone understands what I'm going through

To all those who have passed their test but will not be accepted this year:

Just try failing your test and maybe you'll be able to be given a chance to get in, because it just so happens that someone took the test the same day as me and failed but they were accepted in September, so maybe I'll just try to fail the test and have a better chance.

Gladys I do understand your frustration, I will be graduating this Aug 13th, and yes I too was in the bridge program. See you could have tested the same day but they picked up their application before you. Example you came 10am and they came 9am, so even though you passed and they failed the school is on a first come first serve basis, and if they failed by very little that is why they where offered the bridge program. Don't give up, I know you are frustrated, anyone who has applied can tell you we all felt the same way. The fact is the people in the bridge program have seats only if they pass the retest, and yes some do not pass. There were people called the day of class to come in so keep the faith no matter what it looks like. You still have a very good chance. I hope this helps. ;)

To those still waiting on acceptance letters, don't give up!

Thanks praise2u, but I dont know if you also saw my other post regarding people being accepted that tested after me. There are people who tested a week after me and they have alrerady received their acceptance letter, so I just dont understand about the whole "First come First". It obviously doesnt exsist. And as far as people failing the same day as I took the test is rediculous as well. I still believe I should have been given a chance first, but this goes to show you what kind of school this is

Thanks D. Keji, did u send them all of the required information/documents they ask in order to apply? I know they ask for a school bill or invoice but VEEB didn't send those out yet.
