Hi All,
I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.
What are the Teachers like?
What are the required books?
Is the program as intense as they say?
Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?
Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?
Do they provide job Placement at the end???
Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!
To all those who have passed their test but will not be accepted this year:Just try failing your test and maybe you'll be able to be given a chance to get in, because it just so happens that someone took the test the same day as me and failed but they were accepted in September, so maybe I'll just try to fail the test and have a better chance.
Glady17 ,do not give up yet becos you never know, something can still come up.i took my time to count the number of people that came for orientation last tues,we were about 60.I do not think that VEEB has filled up the 200 seats that is required.just keep hoping you never know.i have this feeling that you will get in.pls do not give up yet
hello everyone. i recently decided to go to nursing school. I am considering VEEB bcos of it's accelerated program. Everything about it is intriguing however I am worried about the 2500 tuition & registation fees that are due before you start. I don't have that cash as I am not working. I think I may qualify for financial aid.
So my question is: Is there loan, aid or something that will also pay for that intial 2500 as well as the tuition? Or since it's private, does that 2500 have to come out-of-pocket? thanks for any info you can give me I am new to this messageboard and looking forward to answer. :)Thanks!
hi nursingeyes yes u have to have the cash aid/loan dont cover this down payment i will be taking test in jan to see can i get in--do u live in brooklyn i do--just wanna make study partner now---and also u must have the 200$ to take the entrance exam-----do u knew of anyone who has stending or is attending and what made u interested in veeb.:dancgrp:
don't give up. Everything happens for a reason. I failed the math part of the pre-entrance exam for lpn at Western Suffolk BOCES last Dec by less that 1% I was devastated because I was so close and I didn't know what to do and then I found VEEB which turned out to be a better opportunity for me. Don't give up on this if it's what you really want.

Thanks changemyworld for the encouragement, but the only difference between you and I and what frustrates me the worst is the fact that I actually passed the test and people who failed are given a chance before me!!!!!
Good Luck with VEEB!!!

Yes, i do know someone who has attending actually graduating next month in august. She loves the school, said it is demanding and therefore had to quit her full time job in order to succeed. She also said it was well worth it.
