Hi All,
I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.
What are the Teachers like?
What are the required books?
Is the program as intense as they say?
Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?
Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?
Do they provide job Placement at the end???
Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!
the physical is blood work, simple eye exam, urinalysis and you will be given vaccinations unless you bring written proof of your immunization history and tb test dates. if you don't do it with the school because you can't make the date you are schedule for a physical you can opt to make an appointment with the physician who does the school physicals. The cost of the physical is $185 which is added to your tuition bill in addition to any vaccinations that are given to you if you don't bring in the proper paperwork.
don't worry too much about the vision test. I should've been dropped on the spot because of my eyes but it was fine. the entire physical is $185 but if you have to be given vaccinations they bill you for each one and everything is added to your tuition bill. don't sweat the physical either. just a basic pee in a cup drug test, vital signs, etc. you'll be fine
i can cry right now i really wanna do this and can wait to test,,,but dont wann get let down times is hard and am not working right now but i will work at mcdondalds if i have to so i can save for the school ----thanks alot for the info and are u a current student or plan 2 be in sept-----if so i hope not to personal did the loan cover at least 2 of ur semester and did u get fin/aid also sorry to ask so much just dont really knew who to ask and the number on the site no one picks up phone
this messageboard is great for information. I'll be attending in the fall. (so happy!) and the whole application process for the school can be very discouraging sometimes so this site has helped alot in terms of finding real answers and just finding other people who are going through the same thing. so many people here were very helpful to me when I first sought out this path so I'll be glad to extend the same kindsness. Good luck with your new ambitions. The most helpful advice is to test early as possible next year for the pre-entrance exam so you can hear back sooner from the school and since you have sometime before they begin testing for next year, brush up on your basic math and vocabulary. Trust me, it will save you alot of time, money and heartache.

Hi Changemyworld,
My orientation was from 1:30pm - 4pm about 4 or 41/2 hrs. First, you do the assessment which is similar to the one we took except there is some anatomy involved. Second, you get fitted for your uniforms and get your assignment and booklist. They go over the assignment and booklist with you, and you will need the books to complete the assignment. Finally, the financial aid counsellor will explain the financial aid process and hav u sign the VEEB contract. So thats what you will be doing....let me know if you have any more questions.
