Guys, anyone here who could give an advice as to which topics to focus on for my exam in taguig pateros next month?

I haven't been very active after I got my licensed and now that I'm finally pursuing my career I'm afraid that I might not pass my exam.

I'm not fishing for answers just to be clear. Just seeking an advice... I really want to get in as a staff nurse.

thanks!

hello fellow nurses!

I passed by from nkti yesterday. they need nurses with 6months of experience as a staff nurse and not considering those who are on volunteer program. =(

I passed my papers at EAMC last jan/feb 2011 for their volunteer training program. They said to come back few weeks after. The group was divided by 3. The problem is that I forgot the exact date (wherein the nurses on the list should be on business/casual attire for the ORIENTATION-which the only thing I remembered)!!!!!

Does anyone knows or will be attending the orientation at EAMC??

any updates in medical city and capitol med?

@Pipau: Where in NKTI will you pass your application? Is the position for staff nurse already and not for training? I have a year of experience as a staff nurse and I'm looking for another hospital to transfer to. Thanks in advance! :D

Not to discourage you:idea: but I believe you have to undergo the 6months training (3 months basic skills training worth Php10000 + 3months special area/dialysis Php10000) that NKTI is offering before you'll be considered as an applicant - that's what the HR representative told me.:twocents:

Oh, I thought 3 months BST will suffice :/

when the last time you called at those hospitals? thanks in advance!

I went to NKTI yesterday bec. my friend informed me that they are currently hiring nurses. but unfortunately you must have at least 6 mos. clinical experience as a staff nurse and they don't consider hospital training. it's really frustrating. how can we, nurses, grow from novice to professional nurses if they don't give us a chance to get hired and hone our knowledge and skills! the woman in the HR dept. told me that i can add my 6 mos. training to my credentials but it seems like it's useless. :flmngmd:

if they are looking for experience as staff nurses, then indeed, adding the 6 mos. to your credentials does not help you qualify :(

I just want to express my gratitude to all nurses who keeps my thread on the top. Please continue spreading the goodnews. Share your thoughts and be a blessing to everyone. Happy job hunting !
