New Kind Of Offer...!!

Published

Hi all,

I am a foreign Nurse who passed NCLEX recently. Recently I have contacted a agency based in Texas. They made a offer. They wants me to go alone to USA on tourist visa and stay their for three months. In theses three months I won't be able to work. They will arrange my accomadation and food. The day I reach in USA, they will file all the paper work for my Green Card and find an employer as well. They says, within three months time, I will get my green card and I can take my family as well. That case, I don't need to pass IELTS too.

Is it sound good..? Any body have any experience..? I know, Suzanne is the right persone to answer these kind of an usuall offer....Pls somebody help me to make a decision....Plsssss....

sounds a bit iffy to me.... You will still need visa screen and you will need to pass one of the english exams. They are doing this as AOS and also seems strange that they will provide accommadation and food ....

I am sure Suzanne will be along and give her opinion

sounds fishy...

If it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true. And what they are promising and what will happen are two very different things. First, you will need to pass the English exams for a Visa Screen Certificate. All foreign nurses wishing to work in the US must have a Visa Screen Certiifcate. It is the only way to get a green card, no exceptions. And they cannot file any papers for you when you arrive, they cannot be filed for 60 days per the regulations, but in all actuality, immigration attorneys are waiting three months or you run the risk of getting the petition denied. Next, then it is another two months or so before you will be able to begin work. It is not three months.

And they are telling you to come over but they do not have an employer lined up for you, and that means that you will belong to them. And they will be able to sell your contract to who ever they want. And under what ever conditions that they want.

Please run as fast as you can from this, it is 100% illegal, and please send me the name of this wonderful agency. Do not post it here.

And no one gets a green card in three months time. You must have a Visa Screen Certificate attached to the I-485 petition for it even to be processed.

This supposed company is lying to you and should be ashamed of themselves.

and they did not specify the type of accomodation, nor the type of food. you will be treated as an illegal alien.

some things to consider:

1. they say that they will find you an employer, meaning that they do not even have one set up.

2. what they are telling you to do is 100% in violation of us immigration law.

and i am getting sick of nurses being taken advantage of. this agency needs to be reported. and are you sure that they are even a legitimate agency? i have had nurses have a supposed petition filed, and while waiting for months and months, only to find out that the agency was never really in existance.

I agree Suzanne things are just getting worse and worse, it is almost like slave labour has returned.

Almost like? It most definitely has.

And for them to lie about every single thing is what gets me.

If you have to be in the US for three months before documents can even be filed, and then another two months before you even get the EAD and can work, how in the heck can you get a green card in three months?

And without a Visa Screen Certificate? They do win the award for being the stupidest agency that I have ever seen. And what other illegal schemes do they have to offer?

My blood hit the boiling point when I read this, and you know it, as I actually phoned you while I was at work.

:angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire Hope that the agency roasts by the heat coming from here.

Thank you Suzanne...Thank u all....Good I heard all this now.....I can stay out of them now...Thanks

I will give u their name to ur mail box.

Thanks

the sad thing is as usual it is the nurse who suffers :angryfire

not usually, it is always that the nurse will pay dearly for scams like this.

Can I just say that this forum is the best thing happening to us. Let's get them bad agencies exposed - and, :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

Please, Colleagues, report scumbags - even if you're in doubt, just check. The New York stories gave me the creeps.

The whole nation is short, I'm sure - and it is global. Don't sell yourself short - unless it's an emergency and you need to get away now.

Be careful in posting the actual names of the agencies here, it can open things up to lawsuits against Allnurses.com.

Just by sharing this type of information of horror stories will make people aware of the scam artists that are out there and to watch out for.

If the agency is really offensive, please send me a their name, along with a copy of any contract, and I will be happy to pass it on to immigration, as well as some immigration attorneys. This is the only way to stop them, and do it legally. As well as the US Attorney General. There is no place for anyone trying to do business like this. And they deserve to be out of business.
