new jersey no longer requires the cgfns exam, only the ces. effective 01/05/06. see the website for the latest bulletins.

so no more worrying about review centers.

I have confirmed this issue myslef by calling the NJ BON and I spoke to one of their representative. CGFNS eexam is no longer required in this state. The only thing you need to do is fill up the CES from CGFNS and comply to all the requirements, and if your credentials qualify to sit for the NCLEX then you're squared away!

I wonder which report level of the CES Service does the NJ BON requires, the Full Education Course-By-Course Report or the Healthcare Profession & Science Course-By-Course Report? Thanks!

Healthcare Profession & Science Course-By-Course as per Ms Marero - NJ BON representative. I have confirmed this by calling them.

So that means I can take the NCLEX here in NJ coz i dont need to take the CGFNS Credential Evaluation in NY for the NCLEX exam?

The CVS and the CES are not exams, they are only reviews done of what you have done. Neither of those states require the CGFNS exam.

NCLEX-RN exam is the only exam that is required for those two as well as most other exams.

this change in policy that requires ces instead of cgfns is good for newly grads especially if they haven't got a local license yet. the problem is for those who have passed the cgfns exams already, this would mean an additional expense. i think it would have been better if they would require either a ces or cgfns certificate to be fair to those who already passed the exams.

Hey someone applying to new jersey also stated that New Jersey requires the FULL EDUCATION COURSE BY COURSE REPORT. this was emailed to her when she asked the board of new jersey on what to apply.
