New Jersey City University (NJCU) ABSN 2022

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I am applying to the NJCU ABSN 2022 cohort, preferably at their location in Wall Township, NJ. I am hoping to hear from a current or former student in this program to see how competitive my GPA and HESI score need to be for a good shot at getting accepted. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

My undergrad GPA from NJCU is a 3.3 and my prerequisite a 3.5, HESI score 92. Yes, I check all the time too and no email response either. Last time I called she said oh, wait some more but that was like 2 months ago LOL

You really have a good stats and a high chance of getting in;) Do u have any idea if they're adding more seats from the orignal 60 slots, the reason why they've extended their deadline?

Thank you! I have no idea. I didn’t get into Rutgers, so I def want to get started so hoping I get in.

Goodluck and please. keep me posted;)

Yes it is a 12 month program . LOL it’s a lot but possible.  You got this !

Since the program is so busy were you able to still have free time for yourself?

@Veralda Simeon

Hi, It seems like this is the first time that theyve extended the application deadline, do u know by any chance the reason, are they planning to add more slots from the orig 60 slots? thank u;)

I do make free time. Time management is really key in this program. You can do it and still have a life however sacrifices have been made where I wasn't able to attend some events.

Hi Veralda, you make a good point about sacrifices, which has been on my mind recently. Based on your experience in the program, would you say attending a wedding in Europe for 1-2 weeks doable? This might be a silly question since this program is fast tracked but I have two major weddings while I’m in the program and 1 is overseas, so I just wanted to know if someone could make it work. TIA!

Hi all,

For those who got the acceptance letters and paid the deposit, did you receive any other communication regarding the next steps. I feel like I am the only one who hasn't been receiving any communication other than the email about Gothic net and orientation. I am a little worried!!

All I got was the email about the CPR certification course.

Same, only received an email about CPR. Our orientation is coming up in 2 weeks so looking forward to that. Also FAFSA info zoom meeting on the 16th if anyone needs a reminder.
