Hi all!
I know it may be a bit early but I like to always get the ball rolling. Is there anyone that is looking to apply to the 2019-2020 accelerated nursing cohort at NJCU?? I'm looking to connect so we can keep each other updated throughout the process.

Thanks. ok. Honestly, oh well... we'll see what happens. Thankfully NJCU isn't the only program I applied to. Just going to pray I get into the other program at least the very least although NJCU would've been amazing. Fingers crossed even though my stats are cum 3.2 GPA (IDT they added my other GPA oddly), my HESI was 81% cum.
Thanks for all your help. Wish you the best.

Also ladies, I learned that applications status sequence is as follows...
Received, Complete, and then Verified - as per NursingCAS convo over the phone. Lady told me Verified is the highest rank for application bc after an app is rcv'd, and they see all files are in, it goes into complete, but then schools have various credentials in verifying apps per their standard and NJCU's is the GPA being placed on transcript which then qualifies NJCU to review an application. Simply sharing what I was told. Hope this helps someone.
Lastly if someone would be so kind to clarify, in reference to HESI, did every section have to be above 80% or just overall school had to be above 80%?
Best of wishes to rest of ladies. xo
Hate to rant but....
? NursingCAS is ridiculous. They didn't calculate my cum GPA at all and say they dont go in to revise, that it's my responsibility to tell the school. And they said that NJCU asks they for only pre-req GPA, but even then I told them, that's not my pre-req GPA, in which they insisted they send what school asks them to send, which I then challenged to say, how is that so, if clearly you placed one school's GPA as my cumulative GPA when it's not that or my Pre-Req GPA.
So meanwhile, I'm irritated because my GPA should be higher in both cases and guy told me, "I wouldn't worry about it" and I'm sitting on phone thinking "of course you wouldn't b/c you work at NursingCAS and aren't applying to Nursing to know how competitive it is and every point and detail matters." ?
Imagine, if you miss out because someone GPA rings in .01 higher according to their system and you know your GPA should be way higher? That's foolish. But of course you'd never know.
What's the point of NursingCAS is they can't thoroughly do the job? Then he wanted to say, that I could tell them to look at my application specifically and let them know that my stuff is incorrect, but of course I don't want NJCU looking at me crazy or bothering them bc that's the last they want at this time, I'm sure. Finally I concluded, "So you're telling me NJCU contracts you to handle ALL their applications but you're telling me to bother them for work you're incorrectly doing? -__- they may as well have their own application if that's the case because I can't imagine how many others have mistakes if you're not actually providing optimal client or customer service."
With all that said, if I'm not accepted, I'm certain it's because NursingCAS. And sadly, I've read in prior forums etc of this and similar issues in past and now I know NursingCAS has probably been the reason many didn't make it bc their "minor" mistakes. SMH. Rant over.

UGH ! Now I'm so lost. Feel like I wasted my time and money for nothing. I hate how site says one thing then it's another. Like what?
@sdagurl7 Try and have the transcript sent to nursingCAS ASAP! If the school does electronic transcripts, it should be done in a few days. Good luck and don’t be discouraged

@sdagurl7 it is a cumulative score of 80%. I know from last acceptance to this program those who had a low HESI score were waitlisted. I also have a low HESI score, so I am a bit nervous. I did not do well on grammar -_- I guess we just have to wait and see...

My application has already been processed and verified via NursingCAS, so idt they'd change at all; which is odd that they completed my application but didn't have all of them #confusing ?

I don’t see anything for prerequisite GPA. My application has CAS grade but not verified grade for my prerequisite. The only GPA i see is for individual schools I’ve gone to and cumulative GPA

Thanks.... yeah, an 81 isn't cutting it. I did poor on the science parts! Totally forgot to review conversions & few things.... Oh well, we shall see.

On my end, they didn't even put GPAs for each school, only one. The CAS grade per prerequisites is simply the same repeated letter grade on my end. The one cumulative grade they have is simply them using that one school's GPA. Talk about lazy & poor service. NursingCAS is officially trash in my book.
I didn’t send all my transcripts either ! I just sent the one with the prerequisites. The actual njcu website says transcripts from all universities where ba/bs was awarded and/or prerequisites were taken. In my case I didn’t get a ba/bs from the program I was in. I’m hoping this doesn’t affect anything

Oh I've been there too before. It really does suck when they aren't totally clear with the instructions. Could you call them to explain or maybe still send the remaining transcript directly to them?
