Just curious - I graduated May 11th, took a week off, and was planning to study 3 hours a day for the NCLEX. Well, I'm thinking it was a bit ambitious and now I'm studying usually an hour or hour & a half a day . . . I do have other things I want to do besides study, and let's face it, I want to take it easy for a bit! After I pass the NCLEX I'll have to work after all, for probably 20 years! It's also hard to focus when I can't even schedule the NCLEX yet. I do better with a deadline.
So I'm wondering how much time other new grads are spending studying.
Thanks!

I graduated 3 weeks ago.. Just moved to the city I'll be working at. I start my job monday, but haven't scheduled my NCLEX yet. I've been pretty busy but I took an online review course... then bought flash cards and a Kaplan book... I've been studying pretty hard!

I know what you mean. I've been out of school for only 3 weeks and took Hurst review 2 weeks ago. I've just been studying the book we got, doing questions, and basically just refreshing myself. Still haven't got my ATT number yet (check email everyday just hoping it's there). I just want to schedule my test even if I can't take it for another month or 2. I don't know I just feel lost. I have a job lined up and I just want to get that DARN TEST out of the way.
Yeah, I have a job lined up too but I can't start until I pass the NCLEX! Actually I don't even have a job, I have a promise of a job through a scholarship program - still have to interview to see which unit I'll be working in. I just hate feeling like my life is on hold waiting for my ATT, and it's hard not to want to just take it easy while I can - or get my house really clean, which I thought I would but haven't! I need some focus here!
I'm getting pretty nervous about my ATT too. I check my email everyday! I'm just ready to get it all done so I don't have to worry about studying EVERYDAY. I want a rest lol.

I graduated May 9th, and take the Hurst review next week. I really haven't done much since graduation. My brain needed time to rest and assimilate all that information!!! I have to take the NCLEX before I start my job at the end of July, so I hope to be able to test by the end of the month or early July. I have been doing maybe 50-100 questions sporadically, but definitely not every day! I will be hitting it hard after Hurst review, though. Good luck to all!!

Don't get too relaxed. You don't want to be like one of those who let a few, then several, years go by before taking the test.
I'm not *relaxing*, I just don't have my ATT yet! I will schedule the NCLEX ASAP, trust me. I can't imagine anyone letting years go by, that's insanity. Everyone knows the sooner you take it, the better off you are.
